Summary: We loved staying in the house of Pascal, everything was perfect organized, we were welcomed by Agnes, the communication with the owner was very good. The house was cosy and complete, the outside was perfect, many chairs, we had very good weather. A backery and supermarket were nearby. We will come back. Wanneer je tot rust wil komen, moet je hier zijn.

Summary: What a well equipped and comfortable gite in a beautiful location. We loved relaxing in the garden and there was a great selection of chairs and loungers. Beautiful trees provided shade throughout the day when needed and there was a wonderful view of the forest. The soundtrack was provided by birds and cow bells. The gite is located in a little hamlet a short way away from Charmoille making it feel peaceful but not isolated. There is a great Patisserie/Boulangerie in Belleherbe about 5 minutes drive away. In the area there is great walking and by car in every direction you drive through beautiful fields, forests, valleys and towns. We went to Neuchâtel lake in Switzerland one day and also the Besancon which is a wonderful town with an ancient fortress. The gite itself is clearly much loved and looked after by the owner with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a lovely lounge area and bbq outside. The owner is helpful and the lady who met us to take the keys at the end speaks little English but was extremely patient with my terrible French and was very charming and kind. (Her son & daughter showed us round the property when we arrived and explained things very well.) We had a wonderful week and would love to return one day.

Summary: We were two families who came to enjoy the hiking and relaxation of the area. We were so very pleased with this idyllic location and home. The property is considerable - four kids, four adults and a dog easily entertained themselves with ping-pong, reading, playing tag and games. The terrace is perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner - there are sufficient table settings for friends and family and the sun is warm and inviting. Parasols are provided for those who prefer a bit of shade. The house is extremely well equipped - nothing is missing! The wi-fi for the citified is efficient. Extra blankets, pillows, cutlery, microwave, even a fondue pot! The fireplace is perfect for those cooler summer evenings and the whole environment is 'gezellig' (=cozy in Dutch). We were welcomed very warmly by a lovely lady to show us the property and well cared for in the first few days to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend this property and the area location - the winding roads, hills and towns offer enough engaging & interesting activities for those seeking sport, culture and historical points of interest.
