Summary: We (family of four) wholeheartedly enjoyed an extended stay (20 days) at Wayne’s wonderful top-story accommodation overlooking scenic Discovery Passage, Quadra Island, and the Coast Mountain Range. You could not ask for a more engaging vista, with marina activity in the foreground and snow-capped peaks in the background, all of these wonderful layers visible from the kitchen, living room, and spacious deck of these classy digs. The Alaska cruise ships that navigate these waterways on summer evenings are sight to be seen, not to mention that we were lucky enough to have box seats for the Canada Day fireworks (biggest display in BC!) which unfurled right in front of our position! The two bedroom set-up suited us perfectly, with our pre-teen kids sharing the smaller but ample room kitted with awesome bunk beds, while the large and luxurious master bedroom, including king-size bed, was much appreciated by the parents! Nearby some of Campbell River’s great establishments such as the fishing pier (serving ice cream!) Session taproom and resto, Dick’s fish & chips, and the mini aquarium (amazing for kids), this is the prime home base from which to enjoy the best the region has to offer. Staying almost three weeks, you have the time to ponder what might be lacking in your accommodation, but Wayne’s ‘penthouse’ is well-equipped and he is always on-hand to respond to any queries. Can’t imagine how our experience could have been any better!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Wayne’s harbour view property. The entire place was super clean, comfortable and very well stocked. Fresh flowers and coffee were also nice extras. The harbour view from the deck was spectacular and location was great for walking to restaurants and shopping.

Summary: We were looking forward to this stay, and were thinking that the virw over the harbor would be interesting. It was everything we hoped and more. The deck was great, and wonderful weather allowed us to enjoy it more. We were able to see a decent amount of interesting boat traffic going by including cruise ships and tugs, and even got to spot a bear briefly from the property. The owner was very courteous and generous, and we very much loved the location.
