This spacious 3BR/2BA vacation home commands a prime location on the back side of Port A, overlooking the Community Park and the Port Aransas Nature Preserve. Located in the quiet neighborhood of Leeward Sands, your rental also features a sunny deck and a roomy fenced backyard that’s perfect for lettings kids and dog run around.
Inside, tropical beach décor and a mix of hardwood and tile floors make this a bright and comfortable spot for your next Gulf Coast getaway.
You’re just a mile from the beach and a few blocks to the Port Aransas Nature Preserve and the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center—an easy 5-minute walk. The pool at the Community Park is also just a few minutes away on foot.
ABOUT THE HOME
After a fun-filled day of splashing on the shore, come home and relax on the large sectional sofa and futon (sleeps 2) in the living room. Watch your favorite shows on the 40” flat-screen TV with DVD player.
The well-equipped open kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a French-door refrigerator. Grab one of the three seats at the bar to chat with the chef. When dinner is ready, gather at the six-person dining table.
This home sleeps nine guests between three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, 40” flat-screen TV, and a door to the back balcony (steps lead down to the backyard). The en-suite bathroom has double sinks and a tub/shower combination.
Nearby, the second guest room has a twin-over-full bunk bed, while the third bedroom offers a queen-size bed. The bathroom shared between these rooms has a tiled walk-in shower.
Guest amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi and a full-size washer/dryer. Up to three vehicles can park in the driveway and in the covered space under the home. This property is pet-friendly.

Summary: We enjoyed staying at this vacation home rental and we wouldn’t mind staying there again another time. It was clean, cozy and had all the necessary amenities and toiletries. However, we have some minor issues. First, the entrance door code didn’t work but the key in access was accessible. Yet, it took us time to open door handle since the key knob kept swiveling until we were able to open it and/or lock it. Secondly, bathtub shower took long to drain the water while showering, so we decided to use the stand up shower after the first night.

Summary: We have stayed in this house several times over the years (except the last couple due to the pandemic) and always loved the house and very much enjoyed having a private fenced backyard. But this year we didn't enjoy the backyard due to a two toxic plants (Oleander one pink and one Red) that were in the backyard. They admittedly have beautiful flowers but are very toxic, every part of them, from flower to root. It is very irresponsible to have this plant in a rental that is child and pet friendly.

Summary: The place was just as it was described. Clean unit and well stocked kitchen as far as utensils and cooking accessories. Quiet neighborhood and close to birding center and community center. We would happily stay there again. The Host/management company was easy to work with and communicated with us often to make sure things were on track.

Summary: The location was quiet and tucked back in a calm, laid back neighborhood. It offerd beautiful sunrises and a scenic glimps of the Port Aransas Nature Preserve. As well, it is Ideally located allowing close access to the Nature Preserve, Turnbull Birding Center, community park, and trail heads leading to the shipping canal. The place seemed to have much of what needed to make ourselves at home during our brief stay over Thanksgiving. Including but not limited to the fully outfitted kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, cutlery, crock pot, blender, k-cup and regular styled coffee pots ect.. and a dishwasher to make clean up a breeze. A USB outlet located in the kitchen and The large washer and dryer also made for our stay with our 3 teen children and pet easily managable as beach life can be messy and fun! If there was one thing I would recommend though, it would be to bring an extra blanket. Though they provide adequate bedding for each bed and one extra blanket for the fold down futon, It just makes sleeping in a bed that is not your own more comfortable when you have one from home with you.

Summary: We loved the house, space perfect, fenced yard for our dog, and great location. Downfall was cleaning. It looked great and clean bit my kids found used condom and what looked like blood on/in a blanket, and my husband found dry food on a pan when it was going to use it.
