'Island Breeze' enjoys an elevated location over 100 meters above the Caribbean sea on the gated Vuemont lifestyle estate. Guests enjoy superb views of the west coast and rolling landscapes of the surrounding St Peter district. Our large, enclosed and private patio which faces the 'trade winds', is brushed year round by cooling breezes.
There are three pools at Vuemont. The infinity pool and jacuzzi are located at the clubhouse, a short stroll from our front door on level ground. Tennis enthusiasts can enjoy two floodlit tennis courts, also close to 'Island Breeze’. There is a fully fitted gym and walking routes on the estate.
‘Island Breeze’ villa is 1,560 square feet (145 square meter) and furnished to the highest quality with our personal touches, providing a Caribbean island feel. The open-plan, fully equipped, spacious kitchen links through to the dining and living areas, patio and garden.
Island Breeze sleeps a maximum of 6 guests. The main bedroom with king size bed is en-suite with bath and shower. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have a queen and two single beds respectively, sharing a large bathroom with walk-in shower. There are ceiling fans, several stand up fans, and if required, air conditioning in the bedrooms. There is ample hanging and shelf space in all bedrooms, with hangers provided. All linen and towels including those for beach use, plus a cooler and shatter-proof drink-ware for use at the pools or on trips. Welcome groceries, a supply of cleaning materials, household requirements including toilet tissue and soap are provided for your arrival.
We provide a pre-paid mobile phone for local calls, which you can top-up at the nearby supermarket; Wi-Fi, TV, radio and a DVD player. Our property manager will meet you on arrival, or leave the keys at the gate, and can advise on additional services. We can accommodate children under 10 years of age and the villa has a travel cot. Except for one step from the patio door to the garden, there are no steps in 'Island Breeze', and there is wheel chair access throughout Vuemont Estate.
For groceries, there is a well-stocked supermarket 1km from Vuemont. In nearby Speightstown there is a fish market and many other other shopping options. Holetown, about 15 minutes away, has Lime Grove Mall, and a well-appointed movie theatre. Fresh fruit and produce is also found at road-side stalls and at weekend markets.
Our drive has space for two vehicles. 24-hour security is provided by Vuemont estate and we have grills on bedroom windows and the front door to provide additional security.
Diverse water and other sports, country walks, tours, sightseeing, history, culture, music shows and festivals, great cuisine - can all be part of your visit to Barbados.
You are recommended to rent a vehicle for your stay. Vuemont provide a free return bus service several days a week to west coast locations.

Summary: Four of us stayed at Island Breeze on a recent dive and research trip. The hosts and property manager were super accommodating, kind, knowledgeable and helpful in orienting. The property is well-appointed, making it easy to prepare meals and relax on downtime. Comfortable, homey and truly breezy, most things that you’d need—that you could think of and wouldn’t travel with (including some spices)—are on hand. Also great that there’s laundry and that beach and pool towels, etc. are provided. You’ll receive copious details from the hosts in advance, and have ease in exchanging communications with everyone, as needed. The gated community is somewhat rural, situated near Speightstown — where there are a few restaurants, small secluded beaches, groceries and gas nearby. The infinity pool offers nice sunset vistas. If you’re planning time in Bridgetown or points south, give yourself plenty of time for traffic during daily rush hours. Bringing a fire stick may be handy, if you want live TV… and on the outro, the property manager was an amazing help on logistics, even suggesting a taxi service to pick up one of us for an early flight. Really pleasant stay. We were prepared for several dive days in Barbados. Thank you!

Summary: We've been to Barbados a few times but this was the best house we've stayed in with the best facilities. A true home from home with the sun and a large pool 60 seconds walk away. Vuemont is well placed to visit many places in the north of the island and Speightstown still retains its old Bajan charm. A good choice of beaches nearby and much easier to access than those around and south of Holetown.

Summary: This was our second visit to Barbados. Island Breeze is a beautiful holiday home and in a perfect location. The pool is great and our children loved splashing around on a daily basis. The house is spacious and we all loved sitting out on the veranda having breakfast. Our only 2 points about the house are a dishwasher would make it perfect and sooooo many millipedes and not just small ones. 🐛😂 We would definitely stay here again!!

Summary: Island Breeze is extremely comfortable and well equipped- the best villa of several we have stayed in at Vuemont. There are wonderful views over the garden and the wooded gully and if you’re lucky you will see green monkeys in the trees. The main swimming pool is just a couple of minutes away. The hosts and property manager are excellent, communicating well and very responsive.

Summary: Island Breeze is even better than advertised. Claire, Martin, and their staff were extraordinarily welcoming and helpful, especially in helping us when our arrival was delayed. The villa was extremely well equipped, with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture, free wireless and TV. The proximity to the pool was a bonus, as was the breezy balcony overlooking a beautiful view of flowers and the ravine. The effective ceiling fans made the bedroom air conditioners unnecessary. The landscaping, setting, and condition of the exterior make Island Breeze one of the most attractive villas in Vuemont. We would gladly stay there again and recommend it highly.

Summary: We stayed at Island Breeze for 6 weeks this past winter. It was important to us to be in a place that had all the comforts of home due to the length of our visit. Island Breeze was certainly such a place. Everything we needed and wanted was available and in very good condition. We have stayed in numerous VRBO’s in the past, and Island Breeze would rank amongst the best. Vuemont is a lovely little community. We enjoyed meeting many owners and other renters during our time at the pool and during the weekly community “get together” held in the community center across the street from the villa. The owners, Malcolm and Claire were very helpful and in good communication with us, as was Kavell, the property manager. It was obvious to us that they all wanted our visit to be an enjoyable one. Summary: We stayed at this property for three weeks and you really need to see it to believe it The property outside and inside was as described and as depicted on the website. However, one can only understand how great the property is until you have experienced it. True to its name, it is the ‘Island Breeze’. We had the pleasure of feeling the breeze every day as this property is situated on a ridge. The view from the veranda is delightful with beautiful flowers and around dusk you can see monkeys foraging about. Claire and Malcolm are extremely engaged hosts and while this was our first long-term stay at a home from VRBO, any and all questions were thoroughly answered and any concerns we might have had were laid to rest. Having two small children (7 and 5 years old) we were concerned about safety and security and this community of properties is very well-maintained and secure. We met a number of owners, local folks visiting and of course the staff and everyone was extremely friendly and personable. The children had a wonderful time experiencing the infinity pool (approx 40 steps away) and tennis courts. The amenities within the property are also very clean and well-maintained. Kitchen is fully equipped; bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and well-appointed. Truly one would have no issue staying there and to our pleasant surprise there was a fridge with the basics of what we needed such as milk, eggs, bread etc. When staying in Barbados it is advisable to have a car in general but in particular to get to this place, a car is necessary. Finally, as stated, Claire and Malcolm are very good hosts and take the utmost care to ensure their guests are well-served by the property. Their property manager, Jeanne was wonderful and also very attentive to any questions or concerns we had on the ground once we arrived. All in all, a wonderful experience at Island Breeze. If you are considering going to Barbados, this is truly the best place to stay.
