Island Girl is a beautiful and comfortable pool home located on the North Shore of the travel destination island of Vieques, PR. The house sits above La Chata beach, so watch the surfers, the rolling waves, or just listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean. The house itself sits aloft on almost one acre of fenced sweeping lawns. This home has tons of natural light, has great windows for cross ventilation with the ocean breezes or air conditioning available anywhere in the house! With 3 bedrooms that can be king sized beds or twin beds in one, there is plenty of accommodation space for 6 people. 3 bathrooms inside and a 1/2 bathroom and oversized outdoor rain shower make the house great for gathering and for privacy. Two living areas, 2 Master Suite/Casita and 2 master sitting rooms, a gourmet kitchen and a real dining room! (unusual for island homes) makes this home a great retreat for friends or family! The outdoor living areas feature a swimming pool, several sitting areas with plush and comfortable furniture, and an exterior covered dining area. The newly built Master Casita is located off the pool area as well. (The home is NOT in Destino.)

Summary: We all loved our time here. Having private areas for each of 2 couples with a beautiful communal area outside was ideal. The only thing missing would be an ice machine or more freezer space for the bags of ice we bought. But the market was close by so it was easy to restock as needed. Vieques is a dream and Island Girl the perfect home base to enjoy it.

Summary: This was our second time staying at the Island Girl.We love the location. The house was extremely well stocked and comfortable for our family of five grown children. We could hear the ocean from our bedroom in the casita. The only negative is that the kitchen is very small and has an old stove, but we stillcooked several meals and enjoyed eatimg by the pool.

Summary: Enjoyed our extended stay at Island Girl and everything was perfect. The property is as described, and we had no issues whatsoever during our stay. We highly recommend the property for anyone looking for a relaxing, pampered vacation away from the crowds. Thank you Adalina for for being such a wonderful host. We hope to be back.

Summary: This property exceeds expectations. The location is quiet, with great views. You can walk down the hill to a beach entrance where there is very little foot traffic. Great private pool with built in shaded areas. We traveled as 2 families, 4 adults and 4 kids, everyone loved the property and was sad to leave it. We would stay here again!

Summary: We had a very nice stay at Island Girl with plenty of room for our party of six to spread out. The property is lovely and is exactly as represented. It was very nice for everyone to have their own area—My parents in the upstairs, teens downstairs and my husband and I in the casita. My only suggestions would be to put together an online manual for the house and have at least one door with keyless entry. All of the doors are deadbolts that you must have a key to open from the inside and outside.

Summary: Surprisingly quiet for being in town. The sound of the waves at night was wonderful. The La Chata beach is in easy walking distance. We opted to sleep in the Casita to take advantage of the breezes. The layout would be excellent for 2-3 couples as there are three distinct living spaces, allowing for privacy when wanted. The pool is quite nice and there are shaded areas poolside for those who tend to burn easily. Both the owner, Kirk, and the property manager, Adalina, were very responsive and helpful. Adalina was there multiple times to get the Dish Network working (the fact that the house has satellite TV and not just streaming services is unusual in itself). She also brought by a new set of pots and pans because she didn't like the ones that were there. Overall a wonderful stay.

Summary: Wonderful accommodation. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Large pool, stocked kitchen, more than enough bathrooms…close to all. Quieter, north side of island close to beach on Atlantic. Private casita separate from the main house…the best. Thank you!!!!
