If you are looking for the best pool and beach location, the Island Queen should be your next vacation destination! This beautiful 4000 sq ft, 5 level North Captiva Island home is located just off the beach. It offers views of the Gulf of Mexico from the sky deck, a large private pool, direct beach access and an abundance of space. It is truly an amazing retreat for those looking for the best island experience!
The space:
The first level is a screened lounge area overlooking the private gardens. This level has a bedroom suite with King Bed and full bath. Outside there is a ping pong table, large pool, pool bar with flat screen TV and plenty of sun and shade.
The second level has four bedrooms and 2 baths, wrap-around screened porches with outdoor furnishings.
The third level is a spacious vaulted living area with gourmet kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom and 5 large sliding doors that open up completely to the wrap around screened patio with furnishings.
The fourth level is a furnished lounge that opens up to a large wrap-around sun deck.
The fifth level is a tiled rooftop sky deck with chaise lounges, patio set and unbelievable Gulf and island views.
Guests have access to the entire house and grounds.
Other things to note:
North Captiva Island is accessible only by ferry, private boat or small plane. This private island community is reminiscent of old Florida as it once was during a simpler time. Just 3 miles offshore, this tropical paradise is part of the Lee Island Coast barrier island chain in South West Florida. Strewn across an expansive preserve, we invite you to enjoy this natural enclave with miles of pristine sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.
Travel by golf cart or bicycle on our sandy native trails. Here, you will find no cars, no crowds or paved roads. This rental comes with 2 golf carts for your exclusive use during your stay. The carts will be waiting for you at the boat house when you get off the ferry.
The island has 4 restaurants, a convenience store, a nature preserve with hiking trails, boat and jet ski rentals and all renters have island club privileges included which gives you access to free kayak & bike rentals and the use of the club pools, hot tub and tennis courts.

Summary: Property was perfect for a large family! Enough bedrooms to accommodate all! Had a few minor hiccups along the way but we’re addressed in a very timely manner! Could use a little updating but overall a great house for a great relaxing week on the island!

Summary: What a wonderful stay- Joe was quick with any messages that we sent and checked in on us while we were staying. You can’t beat the location of this house- to be so close to the beach and also have a pool, there was something for everyone! Our group ranged from young kids to grandparents and had a wonderful time!

Summary: Second time to N captiva . First time at island queen. House has excellent location to beach and everything else on the island. Joe is fabulous and very easy to communicate with. House has everything you need to live comfortably for the week. You won’t be disappointed .

Summary: We had a wonderful time on North Captiva and the Island Queen was perfect for us. There was more than enough room for our group of 12 that included adults, teens and children and it had everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect for quick access to the beach and the layout of the house gave us room for gathering together for meals and games, or room to spread out. The owner and everyone at the Island Club went above and beyond our expectations to enhance our stay. It was our first time to North Captiva, but we’ll definitely be back to stay at this property.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay on North Captiva very much. This was our second visit to the island and could not have been happier with the location- made trips to the beach very easy with little kiddos! We loved watching the sunset from the enclosed third floor on windy days and cooking in the huge kitchen!! Thanks for a great trip!

Summary: Loved the laid back island life for our trip. Weather was great the whole trip, no rain. Plenty of room for our large group to gather together. Could not beat the beautiful sunsets and sunrises everyday! Nice pool to relax by or a very short walk and your right on the gulf!

Summary: The location of Island Queenis perfect and the views unbelievable . Plenty of space both inside and out. Kitchen is very well stocked, really wasn't anything we needed missing. Lots of hours spent at poolside bar area, visiting and joking around with kids and grandkids. My favorite was stargazing with my granddaughter and her friend from the roof . Home owner could not have been easier to work with. North Captiva and Island Queen the prefect vacation duo!

Summary: We sampled North Captiva Island and loved the quaint, laid-back ambience. Our beach house, like others on the island, had a wonderfully strange architectural style. The pool and spiral staircases were highlights. There were 7 in our party and our only regret is not being able to stay longer. Everyone wants to come back.

Summary: This house was perfect for our group of 10 adults (aged 30+). Plenty of room to gather together for meals and games. The top deck has an absolutely stunning view and is the best place to watch the sunsets. The house itself as well as the furnishings had wear and tear but nothing that got in the way of us having a wonderful time.
