Part of an oceanfront estate with three small cottages, Turtle Peek is located closest to the water, overlooking Bottom Harbour and Harbour Island. Turtle Peek is a newly built "tiny-cottage" with backup generator, A/C, high ceilings, queen sized bed, separate bathroom w/ shower, kitchen, and a shady porch to watch the turtles "peeking" at you from the harbour.
More than two guests? Inquire to rent the next door sister cottage "Turtle Tale" as well!
Staying in Islander Turtle Peek, you wake up to spectacular views over the azure waters of Bottom Harbour and Harbour Island right from your bed. Brew some coffee and cook a light breakfast and enjoy it on the shady porch while you watch the numerous sea turtles peek at you from the harbour. Use the private steps to enter the water for a morning swim or snorkel via the tiny little pink sandy area. Dry off in the sun, swinging gently in the waterfront hammock hung lazily between two large palms. Listen to the waves and daydream about where a day in paradise will take you. Will you take a six minute stroll to Bottom Harbour Beach Reserve to walk the long stretch of pink sand, searching for shells? Will you take a water taxi ride to Harbour Island for a day of shopping and island-style casual fine dining? Will you make the short drive to the glass window bridge, saphire blue hole, or preachers cave? Maybe a short drive to Gregory Town, or Spanish Wells to enjoy local culture, shopping and dining (and hopefully stop at a beach or two along the way)?
***PLEASE READ*** Eleuthera, and Islander, is a beautiful and natural getaway - There are birds, bugs, and other things in this natural setting. We are on rainwater collection so ask that guests conserve water. Electricity on the island goes out from time to time (we will start and use the generator when required). There are some unguarded drop-offs, so for their safety, no young children are allowed. Thank you and we look forward to having you as guests =)

Summary: The views are stunning from dawn to dusk. Sleep to the sounds of the waves on the shore. The stars are are incredible to behold. The area is safe and quiet. The cottage, well equipped, just bring food, drinks and snacks. Kayaks, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler are available for use. A gazebo with grill is on the premises. Everything you need on site for a lovely time! Walk a few steps down the road to Whale point beach for more swimming, kayaking and snorkeling in clear, shallow water. We had a fantastic time! Our hosts were exceptionally helpful and kind! Sonny rescued us when we got lost on our first day. Both he and Nadia were available to answer all our questions, and we had many, as it was our first trip to the island. We are already planning our trip back!

Summary: This was absolute heavenly for us. We cannot thank Nadia and Andre more for the warm, kind, spoiling hospitality. The cottage is steps from the water where we caught loads of fish, saw so many sea turtles, blow fish, all kinds of marine life. The view was spectacular! Coffee on the porch every morning after waking to blue waters was insame! Close by we uswd theor kayak to see loads more turtles, star fish, sting rays. Unka Gene's became our fav restaurant for lunch and dinner. We rented a Jeep from Michelle at Enterprise so was able to visit countless beaches, several islands and cays all in one week! Nadia and Andre answered a million questions we had because we love both relaxing and adventure. It is rare to see people on the beaches which we absolutely loved having the feel of private sands everywhere we went. We had everything we needed when we arrived back to their gorgeous property and can't wait for our next trip there. We are still blown away from the beauty and sweet souls we encountered both with our lovely amazing hosts as well as the residents of Eleuthera. We miss the island more and more each day. Thank you Nadia and Andre, you two are the pinnacle of how a home away from home should be!

Summary: My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and it was the best decision ever. I can’t say enough amazing things about this place. It is PERFECTION. Clean, private, tucked away and right on the water. Close to the airport and some seriously amazing beaches like Gaulding Cay. Harbor island is a 5 minute water taxi!!! There’s a beach just 5 min walk with tons of starfish and sea turtles. We saw turtles EVERY DAY from the window. So cute Andre and nadia were exceptional hosts. Let us check in early and check out late (we didn’t want to leave), supplied snorkeling gear, a cooler, beach chairs and even let us borrow their kayak. They gave us a cute little painting of the glass window bridge as a wedding gift 😭 such kind, thoughtful people. Book this place ASAP, I promise you will not regret it!!!

Summary: Don't hesitate to choose this cottage for a wonderful experience !! We stayed a full 2 weeks ..The hosts Nadia and Sonny were super great !! OK...let me start with the drive in from Queens Highway --not easy but actually not bad !! The main thing is to follow google maps but then head down further than you think -North... Sonny found us asking questions and he drove us to the cottage ...The place is on a bay that is so beautiful --right on the water ..NOTE - he has a whole house generator that turns on automatically when the power fails --which happened a few times --one time a day and a half !! Didn't bother us in the least--full Mini split A/C running and all electricity on as normal ...We are in our 70's and love snorkeling--went everyday in front of the cottage ..easy access..lots of turtles..some fish and even a ray or 2 ..The turtles can be seen from inside the cottage - lots of them !!...The last dive we took I saw 6 turtles within a 10 foot square area ..The place has everything you need --grill, toaster oven , microwave etc etc .. Bed is comfy.. bathroom is clean and has the typical shower etc ..Very quiet location .. no need to worry about any neighbors etc ...The road is not as smooth as you would like, but that is life in Eleuthera .. Would I go there again ?--Absolutely !!!

Summary: Beautiful little cottage, just steps from the beautiful turquoise water. The owners are super nice and accommodating. Communication with them was great. They answered all our questions and gave some great recommendations for things to do. As far as the property, it is very private and peaceful. The cottage has a small kitchen, private bathroom, AC, and good WiFi. The bee was comfortable. We were concerned about power going out but with their backup generator it wasn't a problem. You will need an SUV to get to the property as the road is pretty rough, but it's worth it. Also, I'd recommend bringing some bug spray if you plan on being out at night as there mosquitoes all over Eleuthera. That said, we would definitely go back.

Summary: Most beautiful place in the island. quiet and peaceful. Sonnie is very helpful and will help you with anything you need. If you don’t want to stay at a resort and you’re going to Eleuthera, this is the place to go to.

Summary: We had an excellent stay at the Islander! The place was clean and listed just as the online description stated. There were many amenities including Kayaking, beach access, and ocean access. It was an awesome stay and me and my partner would stay again!

Summary: This is a truly unique and absolutely beautiful VRBO stay. My wife and I spent a week at the Turtle Peek cottage this January. It was one of our most enjoyable vacations ever. The cottage is very well built, and the property is in a gorgeous setting. It is a very relaxing area away from the crowds. With lots of easily accessed water activities; snorkeling, beaching, boats, etc. We have to add that the owners and property managers were really helpful, answered any and all questions, and provided more advice than I've seen at most places. This is the spot to enjoy some sun, beaching, and water sports. It is a well deserved 5 star VRBO.

Summary: Swimming with turtles every day off the property - it's just gorgeous, peaceful, perfect. The friendliest caretaker and owners, and everything you could need in the cutest, coziest pink cottage. Cried all the way to the airport. If I ever get back to Eleuthera I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else 💖

Summary: We had a great time on Eleuthera, and this was the perfect place for us to stay. The view really was fantastic, with the Atlantic coming in to the cove. We saw sea turtles swimming out every day as we ate breakfast on the porch. The cottage itself was small, but had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable. Our hosts were great, make sure you read through their guide book for things to do while at the cottage. We walked from the property to a very quiet beach and snorkeled a bit, getting to swim with some of the turtles, seeing some starfish, conch, and a variety of fish. It was very fun and relaxing. Pretty much everything we did was less than an hour away, most things were less than 30min.The road to the property is like all roads on Eleuthera that aren't the Queen's highway - a little rough. Just take your time and you'll make it fine. If we ever make it back to Eleuthera, we would definitely stay here again.
