Positive: Fantastic location- on a hill overlooking the city of Linz. Renovated historic building. Beautiful sauna with panoramic view overlooking roofs of the old city. Super delicious breakfast / local variety of food

Positive: The location is great for these who like to be inspired and energized by the beauty of the old / traditional European city - standing on the hill overseeing the city and Danube river, the hotel is surrounded by century old villas and ultra modern villas which gradually entered this historic district. There is a (century/ies) old park at the backyard of the hotel, with walking/jogging trails, historic landmarks/monuments/sights etc. Yet, it is only 30 min of downhill walk to the railway station, or 15 min to the Hauptplatz (by Danube, University of Arts). I particularly enjoyed the sauna - unlike many other hotels where sauna facilities are tiny and the service is reduced to the idea of heating up a room, in Jägermayrhof sauna facility is on pair with expensive spa - the atmosphere, the scents, the decor and equipment - all make you to trully relax and enjoy.

Negative: Sauna hours are short. I would love to be allowed to use sauna also in the morning, as well as after 21:00.

Summary: Excellent, outstanding hotel, very friendly and professional staff. Pleasure to stay at.

Positive: Big and clean hotel on the hills just outside Linz. Room spacious and confortable. Various and reach breakfast. Big free parking just outside the hotel. Lift for reaching the floors.

Negative: The position in a quiet area is good but nees to drive for visiting the city centre.

Positive: Beautiful views. Next to a wooded park.

Negative: Not a problem for us- is walkable to town centre but will take about 20plus minutes with very big hill/ steps on way back. We loved this location, but others may not.

Summary: Quiet, nice hotel with great view. On outskirts of Linz. We stayed in August- it was very quiet

Positive: The hotel staff were very friendly and the building was spotlessly clean. Room was cleaned every day. Parking was plentiful and free in two secure carparks.

Negative: Hotel pretty much closed around 1730hrs and there was no dinner or bar service available from then. The location is good, but utbis literally at the top of a hill, so get limbered up if you plan walking back each night. The sauna, gym etc were also closed during our stay.
