Positive: Size. Welcome pack was outstanding…best we have ever seen!
Negative: House was freezing cold when we arrived and it took 2 days to warm up. Shower in main bedroom was useless…either freezing cold or boiling hot with only a trickle of water. Worktop in kitchen is a bit odd and a serious issue for young children. Our grandson smashed his head on the corner and we had to improvise corner protection. Front door difficult to lock as was the inner door difficult to open…both need adjustment.

Positive: The house was perfect for our annual family reunion. We comprise 3 siblings plus spouses (Gen X) and Dad (84 yrs), so the bedrooms were ideal. As we live in Surrey, Somerset and Wales, the location was great for us, with sufficient parking too. There was plenty of cutlery, crockery and seating, except perhaps in the lounge where 7 adults sitting would have been a squash, however we were there in June with glorious weather, so we spent a lot of time sitting in the lovely garden. The house was exceptionally well equipped, including a dishwasher and ice maker in the fridge freezer. On the first night we walked to the Beckford Inn for dinner which was great. Other trips included a visit to Broadway (and the Cotswold Gin Company Shop ;-), and Tewkesbury - which are well worth a trip. The hosts left us a lovely welcome basket too - so thoughtful to include butter, bread, fruit juice plus much more!
Negative: The curtains in the main bedroom could be a bit darker to keep out the light - but we were there for the summer solstice ;-)
