This is a clean, clutter free DRY home with breathtaking ocean views from every window. It has two queen beds in seperate rooms upstairs and two queens in a downstairs master suite. Summary: A comfortable house with a marvellous view. It is close to the town of Bantry and on the wild Atlantic Way, walking and cycling. The en-suite in the main bedroom has an immerser.

Summary: Wonderful views, great space for children to play, and only 5 minutes from a shingle beach. Half an hour’s walk into Bantry, mostly on quiet lanes, for good restaurants, pubs and shops. There’s space for six but limited wardrobe space. However both shower rooms are downstairs so there’s a walk from the two upstairs bedrooms. A little bit of extra cutlery and crockery, and a few more glasses, would help visitors to fully relax during their stay. It’s a great base for exploring the south west tip of Ireland, and trying the local seafood (and the stout). We had a great time exploring and walking, on the seafront and in the countryside.

Summary: Excellent location, very private. Great space inside and outside. Right beside a beach. 5 minutes drive from Bantry. Great communication with the owner. The man who let us in and explained everything was a gentleman and we had great fun chatting. We experienced a storm while there, so we had a great variety of weather. We intend to stay here again. I would highly recommend this property.

Summary: Dan's beautiful home overlooking Bantry Bay was the perfect solution for our family staycation. Remote enough to avoid the crowds with your own beach at the bottom of the Garden yet close enough to Bantry for the nights we fancied popping out for a meal or into the market. Dan's recommendations were much appreciated with pier-jumping in Kilcrohane and our day on Barleycove beach particular highlights. Tim & Eliza were great hosts and the block and peat briquettes they dropped off for the stove were a lovely touch. We have already recommended the property to our friends and can't wait to return.

Summary: Staying in Dans home was just what the doctor ordered for my family mid-Covid when a staycation was all we were able to book. The home was spacious and clean but the view of Bantry Bay was absolutely killer. We were able to relax at the home and walk down for a swim at the nearby beach but also take scenic drives along the peninsula. The host also provided a few perfect recommendations. I hope to return and will definitely recommend friends who are looking for the perfect family getaway.

Summary: We enjoyed the beautiful Jewel Box on Bantry Bay. The home was peaceful and had beautiful views of the water and green hills. A real gem! The town of Bantry was a wonderful Harbour town that had everything you need with it's quaint shops and pubs. The food was wonderful and the people friendly! We would highly recommend this great home and area!! Very happy memories!!

Summary: We can't say enough about our wonderful stay in this great house. The location is, in my mind, what Real Ireland looks like. There were stunning views from every room . The house was immaculate and very well equipped. Thanks so much for the opportunity to stay here! We loved visiting with your neighbors, the Cows, each morning!!

Summary: What a treat we had waiting for us at the Jewel Box on Bantry Bay. We four retirement aged people could get in to town, and its great eating spots and mega-friendly people, in short time or explore by foot or car the remote beauty near by. Rest, relaxation, reading - all the comforts of home were ours at the house. Meeting Tim was the topper on the cake. This trip, this place, will be a warm and wonderful memory. I wish I could go there every year!
