Anticipation awaits as you wind through 600 acres of the Paul Bunyan State Forest to the tip of the Jewel. There you will find Jewel Lodge on Mantrap Lake...where luxury meets the great outdoors. With 6 nature-themed bedrooms, including 3 king beds, 3 bunk beds, and 2 twin beds, there's plenty of space for all your guests. The 5 bathrooms are equipped with amenities like showers, hair dryers, a bidet, and soaking bathtubs. You'll find everything you need here, from a steam iron to AC, WiFi to a hair dryer. This home just completed a major renovation in July of 2024, and a brand new full size washer and dryer. Kitchen comes equipped with one full size fridge, one full size freezer, one full size wine/beer fridge, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave and an oversized dual fuel 8-burner stove and double oven. Plenty of storage and prep areas including a butler's pantry. Master bedroom is on the main floor, with the remaining bedrooms located on the 2nd level. (The second level includes 2 more exterior doors.) Large living space with floor to ceiling windows to provide beautiful views of the lake. Enjoy campfires at night while listening to the over 20 pairs of loons that call Big Mantrap lake their home (showcased on National Geographic). We are less than 30 minutes from Itasca state park and the headwaters of the Mississippi.

Summary: Wow... Just WOW!!! Our family celebrated a late Christmas together at John & Wendy's amazing lodge, and it was absolutely spectacular - one of the nicest places we've ever stayed! The entire lodge is immaculate and gorgeous, the layout was perfect for our large family, the amenities were wonderful (and plentiful), it is located in a stunning location, the kitchen was stocked to the hilt with brand new everything, communication was amazing... Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a more lovely and wonderful stay - we've already booked it again for next year and can't wait to go back!!!

Summary: We rented this cabin to spend our family Christmas. This cabin is absolutely gorgeous. More than enough room. Very clean. The kitchen is a dream!! The hosts were amazing to work with as well. We made so many memories and enjoyed our stay. We are already looking forward to spending our next Christmas at this beautiful place! Summary: When we arrived, the check-in process was communicated to us and was so easy to follow. The host actually came and met us shortly after we checked in and he made us feel right "at home". The home was perfect for us, as we had family coming from several locations, and there was enough parking for our families 5 vehicles. The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and common areas were well decorated and comfortable, giving us plenty of space to sleep, eat and relax. The outside grilling area was superb! We used the dock for the pontoon we had rented off-site, with the beach/dock area being very useable, with a nice sand play area. We used the firepit each night, with plenty of wood/kindling supplied for our use. Our family had a great time at this home, and our hosts regularly kept in contact with us to answer any questions that we had during our stay.
