Summary: I feel like the pictures on VRBO were deceiving from at least 10 years ago! The house needs a really good cleaning. The owner needs to get a new linen service. The linens were terrible. The beds and furniture were comfortable, but the deck and backyard need a really good cleaning. Should not list a working grill overall I was really disappointed

Summary: This house worked out perfectly for our group of 2 families. The house had enough space for everyone and plenty of household amenities, beach gear and things to do for all of the kids - ranging 4 to 9. I loved that our dogs were welcome and the yard set-up was great for them. The location was an easy location for walking to the beach and jumping on the main road. The house is a little older, but thats's what made it kid and dog friendly - we werent stressing every little thing they did like we might in other places. Overall it was clean - but could use a deep clean to get built up dog fur from under furniture, etc. We thoroughly vacuumed a few times and picked up hair that definitely wasn't all from us and our dogs. Overall a great stay - would stay again if we are back in the area. Just run the vacuum through when you arrive and be aware its a dog friendly house.

Summary: Walk to the beach was enjoyable and easy. The beach access was only golf carts so the visitors at this location were fewer than the other public beach access. House accommodations and setup were very comfortable and allowed everyone to have their own space and also areas to come together. The ping pong table, foosball, and all the bikes, kayaks, etc were such fun. Outdoor shower and fenced in backyard were invaluable. Owner is great to work with. Thanks for a great and chill stay at the beautiful Oak Island :)
