Summary: I chose the Johnson house for a five night stay for my wife and I to visit several D Day / Battle of Normandy sites. It was a huge plus to also have such wonder ocean views and experience quiet French town of St Aubin-ser-mur. The host’s rep, Marlene was very responsive and caring. Even tough we spoke minimal French and she spoke very little English, she managed the check-in smoothly and provided us with the necessary instructions including the specifics related to short term and long term parking locations nearby. She arrived for check-in and check-out at the agreed time. The space was ideal for two and suitable for four. The kitchen is very well outfitted for making all necessary meals ( unlike many others we stayed in during our three week trip through France). Tip, the local tourist office is top notch!

Summary: We loved our stay at this beautiful seaside retreat. We fell in love with the relaxed atmosphere of the community and found everything we needed close at hand. We were worried about parking as we rented a car in Caen, but there were plenty of spots in a nearby public lot. Everything about the unit, including communication with the host, was absolutely perfect and we are already dreaming about coming back some day.

Summary: Perfect, perfect, perfect! I didn't realize how lacking previous rentals were until we stayed here. This owner has got it together! Super organized, loves his property and it shows! Everything you could need is there, the basics are provided for (coffee, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent). Such a pleasure to walk in and not have to rush out and get toilet paper! LOL Beyond that the house was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our nightly dinners - by this point in our 3 week european advneture were very tired of eating out. BUT ...had we wanted to, there are restaurants within walking distance...step, literally you can see the outdoor seating from the front window while you look out to the ocean. So fabulous opening the front windows and getting the fabulous ocean breeze rushing through the rental to the open skylight in the back of the house. This house is right on the boardwalk, so if solitude is what you're seeking this might not be the rental for you. HOWEVER, if y ou're looking for a little of both you can certainly gain your privacy easily enough by closing the hurrican grade windows and you won't hear a peep from the action outside. Our family of four (parents and two kids) were happily situated with the kids sleeping on the futon and parents in the bedroom. When parents weren't concerned with privacy (wink) the boys fought over who got to sleep in the elevated bunk bed in the bedroom. Oh, oh, I can't forget to share that I had my best showers in our entire 3 week trip (including competing with the hotels) in this place, high pressure, all the hot water you need and just glorious after getting sandy on the beach. Free public parking about a 2 min walk from the house. Grocery (with incredible hours for France) store located roughly 20 steps from the house (the grocery also had beach stuff like buckets and toys for the kids and beach balls). There's also a pharmacy about 15 steps from the house. Also..>I know it's already a long review...but it's so perfectly located for all our touring of the area. We went to Etretat, Honfleur, Deauville, all the Normandy beached as well as Caen and Mt. Saint Michel. Finally, I should share that a nice bottle of local apple cider was waiting for us when we arrived. We were so happily surprised by our last-minute rental of this place I can't say enough good things.

Summary: The property is perfect whether you want to chill or, tour Normandy. The owner is always accessible and his agent Marlene very welcoming. The apartment is quiet, comfortable, secure, clean and has all facilities. It has a comfortable bed and a great shower with plenty of room in the cubicle. The wifi is good. Within one minutes walk there is a supermarket, a pharmacy and right next door is a pub/restaurant. Within 5 minutes there are another 4 restaurants. You do need a car as there are no transport options. Free parking is very close by. Thank you Thierry.

Summary: There are no words that do justice to describe this property, it is beyond my every expectation. This is a BEAUTIFUL flat with breathtaking views right on the water. Wonderful restaurants, friendly people, and lots of things to do. The owner and his representative are wonderful to work with and provide every detail needed to make your trip perfect. The flat is impeccably clean, has everything you could need for a holiday. The beds are comfortable and the flat is spacious. Close to everything, and easy drive to all of Normandy WWII historic sites and many beautiful villages. I highly recommend this flat to anyone looking for a beautiful relaxing holiday. If I visit France again this will be the first place I will go and will spend my entire holiday here. Thank you for the perfect holiday, we miss it already.

Summary: This was the best apt we rented to date. They had all modern appliances. Even a washer and dryer in one unit. They had a iPad available with all data regarding area. Perfect location on boardwalk. Restaurants, grocery and pharmacy within one block. Beautiful place.

Summary: This was the perfect place for us for our 3 days in Normandy, as we wanted to be close to Juno Beach. The house was decorated smartly, has everything you needed - in fact, one of best ever for having everything! Well looked after, restaurants only steps away. We really enjoyed staying here and would absolutely recommend it.

Summary: Our only disappointment is that we couldn't stay longer! Fantastic location with a nice restaurant next door. Sitting on the wall and drinking wine with the relaxing sound of the waves hitting the beach provided a delightful end to our trip to France. We drove down to Mont St. Michel and visited many memorial sites from WWII. There were 3 adults, and the rental is a little small (only reason for 4 instead of 5 starts) for more than that, but it was fine for us. Definitely recommend for your stay in Normandy.
