Positive: Huts were beautiful, a little paradise. Good choice of food and drinks in restaurant. Staff were very helpful and kind. Pillows were very comfortable!

Negative: Quite far out of the main area of Cat Ba which, in many ways, is good. But not a lot near by in terms of cafes/restaurants. Small beach 5 minutes walk away which we visited and, quite honestly, it was so filthy and saddening that we left immediately. It would not have been enjoyable or safe to have allowed our children to play there. And I don’t mean a few bottles and the odd plastic bag - I mean there was literally thousands of washed up items to the extent that that there was basically no beach left!!! Devastating to see the cost of tourism. Obviously this not not related to Joy Stay - just something to be aware of :-(

Positive: People at joystay are so helpful and cheerful. Always ready to help. Could rent a bike easily from there. Nice welcome drink(lychee tea).

Negative: Room are actually small compared to photos. Also little far away from city. Mosquitoes are an issue.
