Positive: Best thing about it was the close proximity to the ferry terminal, which was convenient for arrival and departure on La Digue. Nicely landscaped grounds. Close to stores and the center of town and to Anse Severe and Anse Patates. Comfortable bed.
Negative: Very mininmal kitchen supplies--literally a single medium-sized bowl for eating or mixing, for instance--so would be problematic for those genuinely wanting to prepare full meals, especially for more than one person. Noise from an adjoining property (a outdoor bar/casino) was disruptive one night until far into the wee hours (though not on the other nights, for whatever reason. It's not clear what the bar's normal operating hours are). Room wasn't cleaned during my four-night stay.

Positive: The room was good and very close to the Ferry port, it was small but had everything we needed.
Negative: Check-out is stated as 10am, and the cleaner was already on our balcony at exactly that time, asking if we were ready to leave which felt quite intrusive and a bit frustrating. We also hired bikes through the property (via Jude), but I wouldn’t recommend doing the same. The bikes were in poor condition, the gears didn’t work properly, which meant we had to walk them uphill. Despite only having them for a day and a half, we were told we’d be charged extra for keeping them for a few hours on our last day, which felt unreasonable. To top it off, the bikes went missing during the night. The back door lock was broken and we were told it would be repaired but wasn't. Overall, this part of the experience was disappointing. Not great, Jude, we expected better.
Summary: It was nice, but I would try elsewhere next time

Positive: The accommodation is only a 5-minute walk from the ferry, Jude welcomed us warmly, gave us great advice as to what we could do while in La Digue and organised bikes immediately. Would recommend any day. P.s. Jude you're awesome!

Positive: Jude and his sister Jeannette are the perfect hosts. He came to pick us up at the harbour and explained everything about the house and the island and more. If you want to give yourself a special treat, ask Jude to prepare a dinner for you! Fantastic authentic creole cuisine, can it get any better than this? Totally recommend!
