Positive: Good location, near the ferry and a fruit market. Quite clean

Negative: Didn't include a washing machine as advertised. Wanted to charge R200 for 1 load in their shared machine even when I showed the booking had a machine included in the room inclusions. Took an hour to check in, despite arriving as scheduled - so just be ready to not get straight out and into fun when you arrive - just a slow multi-perdon process

Positive: Everything was absolutely perfect! The location was ideal, very close to the port and surrounded by everything you might need: restaurants, shops, and beautiful places to walk around. The room was spotless and extremely comfortable. One of the best parts was the breakfast: freshly prepared every morning and brought directly to our terrace. Honestly, what more could you ask for? We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Positive: Everything was great, but the lack of privacy was a major issue for us. The hosts entered our room immediately after we stepped out (to take a bathroom air freshener or just checking the room). Running into the host coming out of our private space was very awkward and made us worry about our belongings. Great place, but they should respect guest privacy more.

Positive: We stayed at a villa on La Digue Island and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the villa is very conveniently located near the port, which makes arrival and departure easy — especially if you have luggage. We were met promptly, checked in quickly, and the host, Judo, was very attentive. He explained everything clearly, offered to cook dinner for us, and helped arrange bicycle rentals. Overall, the service at the beginning of our stay was excellent. We initially booked for one night but decided to extend our stay because everything seemed well organised.

Negative: However, our experience took an unexpected turn on the last day. The host informed us there had been a booking overlap and that we needed to vacate the villa. He arranged alternative accommodation nearby and transferred us there. While we appreciate the effort to find another place, the relocation itself was stressful — having to pack, move, and settle again for just one night. Unfortunately, the alternative villa did not meet expectations. There were dogs barking loudly all night (it seems there is a kennel nearby), the air conditioning was not working, and overall the stay there was very uncomfortable. Another misunderstanding was the offer to go fishing. I woke up at 6 a.m. as agreed and waited, but no one came. Later, the host explained that the arrangement had fallen through, but it was still disappointing. In summary, while the location and initial service were very good, future guests should be aware that unexpected relocation may happen and that not all arrangements may go as planned, which can significantly impact the overall experience.

Positive: Best thing about it was the close proximity to the ferry terminal, which was convenient for arrival and departure on La Digue. Nicely landscaped grounds. Close to stores and the center of town and to Anse Severe and Anse Patates. Comfortable bed.

Negative: Very mininmal kitchen supplies--literally a single medium-sized bowl for eating or mixing, for instance--so would be problematic for those genuinely wanting to prepare full meals, especially for more than one person. Noise from an adjoining property (a outdoor bar/casino) was disruptive one night until far into the wee hours (though not on the other nights, for whatever reason. It's not clear what the bar's normal operating hours are). Room wasn't cleaned during my four-night stay.
