Positive: The location was perfect! The dinner and breakfast were delicious. The Onsen is fabulous! The staff is super helpful! I highly recommend this hotel. The views from the room to the water made us feel so relaxed and peaceful. Thankful for the shuttle service to and from the train station:)

Positive: We stayed here one night before leaving for the Kumano Kodo trail. The staff were really lovely. A couple spoke great English but most didn't speak any. They graciously organised a vegetarian dinner for me, which I leaned I should have requested in advance (oops). It's a slightly older hotel and seems to cater to an older crowd. I was able to cover my tattoos to use the onsen, but it seemed like maybe this is allowed on a case by case basis? The room was clean and comfortable, and the dinner was a very elaborate traditional Japanese meal. We walked the 50 minutes from Kii-Tanabe station and it was a fine and easy walk. The views from the room were lovely.
Negative: There isn't a ton to do around the area beside walking along the water & out to the small island. It was fine for a chill night though!

Positive: Comfort, very good cuisine, nice onsen. Helpful staff. Area with many attractions. Beautiful view from the windows.

Positive: It sits right on the harbor at Kii Tanabe. Spectacular sunsets and sunrises. Great onsen waters. Hotel chefs accommodated my need to be gluten free perfectly despite how difficult it is with Japanese food. That kindness will always be appreciated. Great staff!
