Negative: The swimming pool was closed. And a bit dusty due to cave rock but totally understandable that part.

Positive: Great location on the hill — the walk up isn’t too far, about 5 minutes at most. Breakfast was really nice with fresh food and a great view. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Junior Suite and it was very good: spacious, with a separate living area, cosy, and well set up overall.

Negative: Notes for future travellers (not negatives about the hotel): Goreme’s weather can change quickly, which can affect balloon flight plans, cancellations or last-minute changes are common, so it’s best to stay flexible. In low season, you can often get balloon flights cheaper by booking on the day or shortly before, as availability is much higher. While the hotel offers tours, in low season you can usually find the same tours on platforms like GetYourGuide or similar sites for much cheaper. The same applies to airport transfers — there are plenty of online options and local taxis at more competitive prices compared to the hotel’s quoted rates.
