Nestled atop a scenic ridge just 10 miles from Natural Bridge and the Red River Gorge, Kim's Retreat Cabin offers the ultimate secluded escape. As the final cabin on the road, tranquility is guaranteed. Step across the yard and you'll find a vantage point offering breathtaking valley views.
The cabin boasts a spacious dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen that includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, and all essential cookware and tableware. Sleeping arrangements consist of a downstairs queen bedroom, and two upstairs bedrooms—each with a queen bed. The expansive living room features a queen-sized hide-a-bed couch, two comfortable rockers, a gas fireplace, Dish satellite TV, and a DVD player for your entertainment.
Outdoor amenities are equally inviting. Relax on the covered porch's wooden swing, or unwind in the large hot tub on the deck off the master bedroom. You'll also find a charcoal grill, fire pit, and a sizeable wooden picnic table for alfresco dining.
Kim’s Retreat Cabin is a proud member of Chop Chestnut Cabins, a collection of uniquely designed cabins set in a wooded ridge near the Red River Gorge. Each cabin offers its own quiet sanctuary, complete with hot tubs and porches to immerse you in nature. Just a 10-minute drive from the cabin will take you to the Red River Gorge, making it an ideal base for day hikes or visits to the Natural Bridge area. Return to the comforts of home, grill up a meal, and let your cares melt away in the hot tub.

Pets are welcome for a fee of $75 per pet for the entire stay. We kindly request that pets stay off beds, bedding, and furniture, and must either be supervised or crated when left alone in the cabin.

Summary: Lovely place for my husband and I for a getaway. The place was clean and well organized, they had everything we needed. They asked that you bring your own shampoo and toothpaste, I would recommend also bringing some cooking oil or butter and your own coffee. We got to watch the lunar eclipse, it was beautiful! My highlander had no problem getting around the terrain even after the rain. The hottub was amazing after a long hike! I would definitively visit again, highly recommend.

Summary: Kims retreat is a place we would love to return. For families, please know though that the house’s property is on a cliff. So watch the kiddos closely. We can’t wait to return !

Summary: This is a nice, cozy cabin. It's private even though there are other nearby cabins. It was well-appointed for a weekend trip. It's a drive to get to it, but they provide detailed directions that are accurate. I would definitely rebook!

Summary: We had a great stay at Kim's retreat! Nice and clean secluded cabin to getaway for the weekend. Nothing fancy, but has all the necessities. Of note, there is a fire-pit but you must provide your own firewood (which there are plenty of places selling it for $5 a stack).

Summary: The cabin and property were great. The listing however was not accurate. It is a 20 minute drive to the natural bridge, not 12 minutes as stated. Also, there was no wifi in the cabin as stated.

Summary: Beautiful view! Very cute inside. Clean. Enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. For people coming from london. Once you GPS slade, ky and get there, the directions were a little confusing. Once you go under the parkway bridge, the campton road part got us confused because a few of us went right at the dead-end instead of left because there is a sign with a arrow pointing to the right that says Campton but we need to go left. Also, the “green hinkle sign” says its on the left and right both in same sentence. Other than that, the directions were spot on! Overall wonderful stay. Easy check in and communication!

Summary: Overall the stay was nice but compare to other rental, I did not rate as high. Travel on one lane road to get to cabin which was not mentioned. Lots of blind spots and dangerous with oncoming vehicles
