Positive: We loved the location (quiet, lovely trees), the pool was very nice, nice airy roomy feeling inside the cabin due to high ceilings, ample dishes and supplies. The washing machine/dryer was a bonus. I did call ahead to see if there were things like measuring cups and spoons, and a stroller (which was not listed in the amenities), a pack and play for a baby to sleep in and was told by Vacasa that there were none of those things. They were wrong. There were all of those plus some great beach toys. We appreciated all of them except we had bought a p and p to bring with us and could have saved the space in our vehicle. We had a lovely time with our family and in spite of my critique on the cleanliness and condition, this was a beautiful cabin, and I would recommend it to anyone, we had plenty of room to visit and spread out. Very centrally located making it easy to visit Holland, Saugatuck, and Douglas, and purchase gas and groceries. Wi fi was great although we didn't use it much. Coffee pot and dishwasher all worked fine for us. The ice maker didn't work, but that was not a big deal. We were under the impression we had our own fire pit but that was not the case. We used the one by the road by the entrance and appreciated the bundle of wood.
Negative: The cabin was not as clean as I would have expected ie. someone's hairbrush was in the rack of clean towels, a used medical patch was on the bedroom floor, empty pistachio shell on the living room carpet (the baby found that), one sauce pan had the inside bottom completely covered by something burned on (a good soaking and scrubbing took care of that, however, why me?!), some leftover packaging on bathroom shelves. The pillows need to be replaced (flat) and the single bed and bunk beds were uncomfortable for adults. The deck floors were very dirty maybe a good hosing off periodically would help. The living room furniture was not very clean looking and most of the rooms had carpet stains. The back screened-in porch had a ripped screen in the door and the door knob on the front door was loose. It just looked like the place could use a little upkeep and maintenance. It just could use some TLC.
Summary: Lovely place to make memories, making good use of the front porch and seeing surrounding area.

Positive: The communication with the host was exceptional. It was a keyless entry. I was given all the details regarding the wifi, key code and how to operate the fireplace lol hint I'm a city girl.
Negative: It did get a little cool in the cabin at times.

Positive: The cabin was lovely. The location was very good for us. There were great places for taking long walks. We were close enough to Saugatuck to go there several times. We loved Oval Beach. We enjoyed playing games and putting a puzzle together during the evenings.
Negative: The step on to the porch was a little high and since we are all in our 70s, we had trouble with it. The lower bunk bed was difficult to get into so one of our group used the foldout sofa bed. We would like to have had written instructions in the cabin. We weren't sure how to make sure the flu was open so didn't use the fireplace. We couldn't get the TVs to connect, but we were OK without watching TV. The internet password wouldn't work, but we were OK without that also. We could have called about the password but none of us thought it was that important.
