2 Bedroom Cabin in Hayesville

Quaint Lakefront 2 Bedroom Cabin with additional private sleeping space on the terrace level. Great for family get away in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Recreational parks close by including hiking, fishing and all water sports. Golf, horseback riding, and river rafting. Local flea markets, antiques, craft and local artisans galore, plant/agricultural festivals. Library and local theater. Many north GA and western NC state parks nearby.
2 hrs from Atlanta, Asheville, Chattanooga and Greenville, SC.
This two story bungalow sleeps 4 to 6. Terrace level sleeping is accessed from within the home. You must go outside to access the extra sleeping that includes partial bathroom and an outdoor shower.
Great for the family get away to the mountains. Relax and enjoy the beauty of Lake Chatuge from this great cabin with internet access, fire pit screened porch, walking paths and much more.
Spend a weekend or a week with the family at this cabin with a park like setting on the lake.

Summary: PROPERTY: Great piece of land. 2-3 acres of green space to run, play, and toss a ball around. It's a little bit of a walk to the lake, but 100% worth it. BRING WATER SHOES! The shoreline is covered in large rock that are very tough on your feet, so unless you rely solely on the dock your feet will hurt. HOUSE: We arrived when it was dark, and there were no external lights on at the house. The pictures accurately reflect how close the two houses are next to each other. The bathroom is accessed from the living room and the walls are not soundproof, so the bathroom does not provide the audible privacy that one would want. We (2 adults and 1 child) stayed upstairs. I'm not sure how the downstairs is used, as it's basically a narrow room with no features except as a quiet reading space. ENTERTAINMENT: The TV is very small for the space. We had to squint to see the screen, and eventually moved it closer to the couch just to watch. CLEANLINESS: The house was clean internally, but it was obvious that no one had been to the house in a bit. There were spiderwebs covering the stairways and door entry points. Even the door handles were covered in spiders. COMMUNICATION: We received an email with instructions, but received no confirmation when we communicated via text or email. We also received no responses to our emailed questions about how/what to clean when we left. So we ran the dishwasher and left the towels by the washing machine.

Summary: We were really disappointed with this property. First of all, it is not secluded. You are right next door to another house. While trying to enjoy a bonfire we had to listen to the neighbors dog barking at us. The cabin was also not very clean. Cobwebs were hanging from the ceiling fans and even under the bed. The cabin had a horrible smell to it as well. I texted the owner multiple times and they never responded returned my texts. We will not be coming back.

Summary: This property is just stunning! We felt like we were at our own state park! We loved fishing, swimming and jumping off the dock, paddle boarding, catching lightning bugs, making s’mores and eating all of our meals on the screened in porch! We will definitely be back!

Summary: Easy to find and very close to Blairsville and Hiawassee. Just a short drive to Gatlinburg Tennessee. A wonderful place to stay.

Summary: The lot was just what we needed, private, away from traffic and people, a short walk to the water, with a nice dock and ladder to enjoy swimming. The house is really close to the property line, so when you come out of the house to leave, you head towards the neighbor's house. The neighbors were friendly and welcomed us, but still, a little too close for me. Inside was nice. The appliances were new and in great shape. Kitchen ceiling fan didn't work. The coffeepot is a Cuisinart with an option to ground fresh beans and a gold filter. Basic necessities were there (paper towels, tp, dish soap, linens, trash bags, etc). Kitchen had enough dishes for us, but could have used some large plastic cups (bring Solo). There is a memory foam topper on the master bed now, but it doesn't help a whole lot, and that bed is small for a queen to us. The sectional couch pieces slide apart. Really needs some weed treatment in the landscaped areas. The A/C was not working properly when we got there, but it did cool down by the next day. When I raised the temp to 72 on our third day, the A/C quit cooling and no air would blow. The rental manager called the owner to get somebody out there, but I guess being 30 minutes from town increases response time. We hung around until 2pm (ruining that day's plans), and still couldn't get an ETA. The house was up to 80 degrees by then. We had to pack up and go home because we didn't have anywhere to go and didn't know if or when the A/C would be fixed. Turns out they couldn't get the A/C fixed until the next week sometime. Our vacation was ruined...never got to really relax, and we only had one day where we fulfilled our plans. It wasn't anything that could be controlled unless maybe if the HVAC was on a quarterly service plan or something. We understand that happens, but its really awful when its on a vacation where we're paying a lot to stay there. We did get a refund for the lost nights. Ingles grocery/gas is not even 10 minutes away, and well stocked, two or three dollar generals right around there too. Hiawassee was a hopping little town. Murphy was good sized too. Hayesville is really, really small.

Summary: We loved our stay. The property was well equipped with almost everything we wanted and had everything we needed. I gave 4 stars on property management only because I asked a question and never got a reply. Our family absolutely loved this place and are thinking about booking it again for next year.

Summary: The cabin was clean and comfortable. The location and lot is so very beautiful! Communication could have been better with the host. And they advertise a queen size bed in the master bedroom but it is a full-size bed. That should really be addressed.
