This peaceful 3700 sq ft getaway is located on the north end in East Passage Estates on 2 acres and it's an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the tranquility of nature. The property has large decks patios, sunroom, large heated, swimming pool and an outdoor shower. The gourmet kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless-steel appliances easy to kick back, listen to birds and enjoy the unique and beautiful landscape of 'Kismet' which has its own nature trail at the end of the park-like compound. For dining you'll find some of the finest restaurants both downtown and in the many towns just minutes away. Visit Slice of Heaven for breakfast and Sympatico's for outside dining and live music. Jamestown is an island just 9 miles long and 1 mile wide. Hundreds of acres of protected space and working farms yield a serene quality and soothing views of land, sky, and sea. The town center, just 4 miles to the south, features lovely shops, pleasant strolls, a superb marina, and terrific restaurants. Small pet may be considered. No large dogs. Summary: Our family had a wonderful stay at Kismet! The home was impeccable and exactly as described in the listing. There was more than enough space for our family of five plus inviting areas to gather as a family. The living room was cozy and the sunroom was beautiful in the morning. The bedrooms were large and the kitchen contained everything needed to make meals if desired. The grounds were unbelievable providing us with our very own oasis. The kids (and adults) loved the huge pool and the deck areas provided a wonderful space for outdoor meals. The proximity of the house was perfect as it was close to all the activities we had planned, but also provided a private, yet welcoming atmosphere. Carol and Mark were wonderful hosts and very responsive to any questions we had. We sincerely hope to return as this was one of our favorite homes (we have rented many!)

Summary: My husband and I came here for a week to escape the city and were joined by another couple. The house was great - lots of space, pool was awesome, lots of privacy from neighbors. Great time overall.

Summary: This was the second stay for my multi-generational family of five adults and three young children. We love this beautifully maintained home complete with pool and large yard with beautiful gardens. There are comfortable rooms for all of us to be together and separate areas for families to have space for themselves. We went to the beaches in Newport, out for dinner, rode bikes, enjoyed the charming town of Jamestown, hiked at Beavertail, but mostly enjoyed being together at Kismet. We would stay again in a heartbeat and recommend this lovely home to everyone.

Summary: My family of two daughters, sons in law and my grandsons enjoyed a very special week at Kismet. The house is beautifully appointed, with areas we could all be together comfortably (kitchen, living room, spacious deck, pool area) and other semi-private areas where you could visit in smaller groups. The grounds are beautiful, from the koi pond with blooming lotus and a small waterfall, the pool and large yard with full growth trees. Jamestown is a charming, quieter island alternative to Newport and Narragansett with lovely restaurants, great cycling, kayaking, walking trails, fresh fish and vegetables, and lovely views everywhere. We would love to return next summer.

Summary: My husband and I were hoping to have a restful and fun week's vacation with our grown daughters and their families. At Kismet we certainly had an absolutely lovely time. The home and grounds and pool are so beautiful and we instantly felt right at home and relaxed and pampered in luxury. Summary: Our family rented this beautiful house in late August 2015. We absolutely fell in love with Jamestown and this home. It was a great, peaceful location within minutes from Newport. My son loved to swim in the pool at night and I loved to taking pictures of the beautiful gardens and koi pond. It was a vacation that we will cherish for years to come. Would love to return to Kismet soon!

Summary: (This is my third try to write a review!) To be brief: The house and hosts are just the best! We loved the decks, the yard, the pool, the pond, the neighborhood and Jamestown. Lovely setting. Kitchen worked really well and we were so comfortable there. Would definitely like to return!

Summary: Our entire extended family of 10 adults and 3 grandchildren had a great time at the house. Everything was perfect, from the pool to the outside dining area to the large lawn. It was also close to the village, the beaches and Newport itself.

Summary: This house was a wonderful house to rent. Great location on Jamestown, the yard is very private and the house is perfect for a family gathering. The owners Mark and Carol went out of their way to make sure we have a great time. If we go back to Jamestown we would go there again!
