Positive: The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very unique. The garden put back was lovely. The breakfast in the morning was very good. We were in a suite with a private pool, which was very nice.
Negative: Although the restaurant staff was there most of the time, the reception was not around much at all. There seemed a lack of communication between employees, so we were never sure if one of our messages relayed to one staff would be delivered to the other. We were told if we needed anything to dial a certain number, however, that never worked and we had to personally go and ask for extra towels and blankets. On our last day we were trying to check out and pay our finaly bill and there was no one at reception. The restaurant staff had to contact them on the phone and try to figure out the bill. All very confusing and we never did get a receipt. It was a lovely place, but I wouldn't stay there again due to conflicting messages between staff. It was very disorganized and they need to improve that aspect.
Summary: Lovely, but....

Positive: Beautiful family hotel, luxorios rooms furnished in old stile with taste for details. A nice present and fruits waiting to welcome the guests. Just next to the city center, few minutes of walking to get there. Big and rich breakfast.
Negative: Nothing to say here.
Summary: If you want authentic old style experience, with everthing and more you need, than Kapitevi is the right choise.

Positive: Well restored Ottoman house with comfortable rooms. Great breakfast with French press coffee. The bar and courtyard cafe were well patronised by locals and a source of entertainment but not too noisy. Good location walking distance to main sites.
Negative: Room was a bit smaller than expected

Positive: Location is just inside the old city, and is convenient on foot to all of the main Bursa sights (you absolutely do not want to drive between sights). The restaurant in the courtyard is atmospheric and the food is excellent--feels like another time and place.
Negative: Parking could be an issue. Google maps took us to within 100 ft of the property, and then I parked and walked. The manager/owner was waiting for us/expecting us, and he was very helpful. When I said that I wasn't sure if where I had parked was good, he walked out and said it was just right, and clearly would have fixed it if it wasn't.
Summary: Charming boutique hotel renovated sympathetically from Ottoman building and managed lovingly

Positive: Very beautiful, picturesque, memorable hotel, very well located in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was delicious.
Negative: No real issue. Please note that the staff do not all have a strong level in English. Also, lots of stairs! The hotel is on top of a city wall (but can be reached by a longer, less steep street).
Summary: A beautiful stay
