Positive: Great location, stunning breakfast room with river views, beautiful decor, comfortable and quiet spaces, coffee machines and water on each floor for a convenient morning cofffe and chocolate, very nice toiletries. Staff are attentive and very welcoming - I even got a "welcome back" card in my room, thank you! I look forward to staying again soon!
Negative: The guest lounge could be more atmospheric - just dim the lights a little, but that is a minor detail!
Summary: Another pleasant stay!

Positive: The location of the hotel is amazing. You can go to many places on foot and it's a one minute walk to a tram and bus stop. The staff is extremely kind and helpful in anything you might need and in any time.
Negative: Unfortunately there is a huge problem with soundproofing of the rooms. You hear EVERYTHING from other rooms from the vibration of a phone to the snoring of another person. The 2nd night of my stay I woke up from the snoring and sounds of the next room and I was never able to fall back asleep. Room cleaning starts really early and you can hear it no matter the point of the floor they are at as floors are really old. Lastly the breakfast was okay, but towards the end one of the staff members started collecting the cheese to put it back without any equipment or gloves on but with their bare hands. That's why I did not have breakfast there the second day.
Summary: Exceptionally polite staff and excellent location, some serious issues yet.

Positive: Great location. Lovely historical hotel.
Negative: Unfortunately, a man broke into our room while we were sleeping, and the hotel had no effective security protocol in place. We are two women who stayed at the hotel for two nights. On the second night, we heard our room door opening and saw a man standing in the doorway. It did not appear that he had opened the door by mistake. We immediately shut and locked the door again and called reception for HELP. No one came. Later, we were told they had gone to the wrong room, even though I was very clear about exactly which room we were in. Despite being terrified, we had to go down to reception ourselves. The staff member had no idea how to handle the situation and instead asked whether we had actually locked our door. They suggested it could have been someone drunk and even mentioned that people sometimes call reception as a joke. I cannot imagine a situation in which two women call hotel reception crying for HELP as a joke. That night, we felt terrified and completely discredited. We had no way of knowing whether the man was still in the hotel or if he would return to our room. When checking out the next morning, we were informed that other guests had reported someone trying to break into their room, that they had called the police, and that footage had been provided. It is deeply disheartening to know that the police were only called after other guests reported similar incidents, while our cry for help the night before was not taken seriously. We were lucky that we acted quickly and managed to lock the door in front of that man. We have no idea what his intentions were, and we will never know, as there has been no follow-up from the hotel—even a month later. The hotel did refund the second night (the night of the incident), and staff were very kind to us until we left for the airport. However, this does not undo the fear and distress caused by the lack of an appropriate response at the time.
