Only 1 km to the entrance of the renowned Cape Kidnappers Farm where you will find the acclaimed world class golf course, walking distance to Te Awanga Winery Estate and Clearview Winery. A little further down Clifton Road to the award winning Elephant Hill Winery. Or for a natural experience take a journey out to see the Gannets at the Cape. Just a short distance further is a Four Square Superette where you can buy all your supplies, including fresh bread and pastries, wine, lotto, and ATM and Post Shop. Beside this is a Fish and Chip and Chinese Takeaway shop.

Summary: Had a great stay with our friends, the home was perfect for what we were after. Enjoyed walks along the beach, lunch at Elephant Hill and a birthday home cooked dinner! Fabulous.

Summary: Loved this place! Location was so perfect - walking by down to the beach at sunset and watching the surfers. Cottage was really well set up and the fireplace was so good! Hosts were fantastic and helpful. Would definitely come again

Summary: We loved our stay at Kuku Cottage. We were super impressed with the well equipped kitchen, we loved walking to the beach and the cafes. It was the perfect spot for our foxie and a base to explore the Hawkes Bay. The beds were super comfy and we loved the cosy fire.

Summary: We loved our 8-night stay at Kuku Cottage--it was a charming, surprisingly commodious, and very well provisioned home made all the more welcoming by the many personal touches, such as a wide-ranging collection of books for the perusal and reading pleasure of cottage guests. The home has an indefinable welcoming "feel" and the layout of the house with three bedrooms opening onto the common area comprising an open-plan kitchen/dining/living room, together with an additional bedroom and bathroom in a separate attached room off the back porch, made for an excellent gathering spot for our reunion of 6 friends from the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand who were getting together for the first time in 4 years to celebrate a "milestone" birthday for one of us. With huge thanks to Rob and Fiona for making Kuku Cottage such a comfortable and welcoming retreat for those wishing to stay in the Hawkes Bay area.

Summary: We stayed in early March. Weather was great and Kuku Lodge was a perfect place to explore Napier and Hawk’s Bay Area. Close to many vineyards, steps from the water and short drive to Hastings and Napier. Kuku Lodge provided all we needed to enjoy our stay and a lovely location to unwind after a busy day. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Summary: One of the neatest and well equipped accommodation places we have stayed at. Very neat, yet very homely and welcoming. Hosts even placed bread and milk there for our use and were very responsive and friendly. Kitchen facilities are excellent and we really enjoyed a bbq in the shaded garden courtyard. We'll be back!
