Summary: The facilities are new and very clean. Place is cozy. Check in was not easy. You must have a car to go from the place where you pick up the keys to the room. We got there late at night and picked up the keys in a green box in a parking lot. We got lost while looking for the room, road and access to the building were not clear, there was at least one foot of snow. Definitely not a walkable distance to do with luggage, children or seniors.

Summary: We stayed at Kuukkeli Porakka for a week in feb. We were looking for a log cabin that was close to everything in the village, with great access to thr national park, and this was it. The shered bathroom was a slight worry, but it was clean and we could always use it when we wanted, it wasn't too busy. The room was comfy and quiet. For thr money it was perfect.

Summary: This hotel is a beautiful log house. It is situated less than 100 meters from the hiking routes of Urho Kekkonen National Park. There aren't toilets or showers in rooms. Toilets, showers, a washing machine, a drying room for clothes, a microwave owen etc. are shared with other customers. However, there are a small flat screen tv and a refrigerator in an own room. The reception is situated 800 meters from the hotel. This accommodation is well-kept, very charming and close to nature, not too near to other buildings.
