Summary: Easy to access from motorway. Good for overnight stop on long journey. The staff are welcoming, and speak good English. The restaurant is a destination for local people.

Summary: The staff were all welcoming, spoke good English, and were able to anticipate our needs. Our standard room was spacious and clean, with the all the necessary facilities. There were, however, only the Belgian TV channels. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent - it was difficult to choose from the small menu! Breakfast was also good, more than enough for us. Check out was quick and easy. We would go back.

Summary: A hotel in the Ardennes with wonderful access to the small villages and outdoors. An auto is mandatory. Comfortable rooms with what is claimed to be a three star restaurant which we missed as we neglected to make a reservation. The staff made no effort to alert us and we found disappointing. All features were modern and current. Moderate price for what you got.

Summary: Oh dear, what a disappointment. This is our second stay at La Barrière having stayed here last week on our way to France. Then we had a fantastic meal in their surperb restaurant. This time the restaurant is CLOSED. Closed on Sundays and Mondays! A hotel with no restaurant!! Worse, all the other restaurants in the area, even attached to a hotel, are also closed! The whole area is closed for food the same two nights a week. Ended up getting bread and cheese from a Spar shop 6km away. Still a great hotel to stay at, just not on a Sunday or Monday night. BE WARNED!!

Summary: Great hotel and a bit of a surprise. It's literally in the middle of nowhere (but not far off of the E411). Super rooms, very clean and modern but with some style of their own. Then there is the restaurant! FANTASTIC. It's worth going here just to have a meal! Returning to stay here in a few days time, on our return trip to the UK, and can't wait to try it again. Breakfast not bad either.
