Positive: Beautiful place to stay, impeccably tasteful and immaculately clean. Very personal service. Dieter & Tu-Phuong work very hard. They do almost everything themselves, and they could not have been nicer or more attentive. Our room was lovely, very clean, and with a comfortable bed and several seats in the room. There was a screen on the window, which kept out any flies, as it was May when we visited. Their garden outside has a charming and comfortable patio, which has been upgraded since they took their photos for Booking.com. Now there are fountains and more plants and several better laid out sitting areas than in the photos. I added one night photo. The house inside contains several rooms of downstairs sitting areas, which are also comfortable and tasteful. I added a few photos of these. When you stay here, you get away from the TV, as there were no TVs anywhere on the property, as far as I saw. You could relax and read, or have a conversation, walk, bike, or drive around the region, and enjoy Belgian beer and the picturesque countryside. There is a (private) castle, Chateau de Beusdael, which you can see from the road which is within and easy walk, Val-Dieu Abbey, also in a photo, isn't far to walk or bike. It is generally a relaxing region for a peaceful getaway. Breakfast was amazing and very extensive. We stayed two nights, and after the first day, I wondered whether the next breakfast would be the same as the first, but they changed out a lot of things. Both days had a delicious and very ample breakfast. I was glad we splurged for it.
Negative: The stairs to go up to the bedrooms are a little steep, but after I went up and down them once, I didn't find them to be too tricky, There is a sturdy handrail on both sides. I just had to be a little careful. (I did not go up the stairs inside our bedroom.)

Positive: Amazing place, the building is is phenomenal and the rooms are lovely, and we had the best night sleep in that bed!so much so that we even bought the pillows! The nature surrounding the hotel is stunning! The highlight were the wonderful hosts,they made us feel at home from the first moment, and the breakfast was out of this world! A true culinary experience! we can’t wait to come back!

Positive: We arrived at La Belle Maison by E-Bike and were greeted by the gracious host Dieter and his lovely wife. Dieter made sure our 2 Ebikes were stored in the garage and charged with electricity, after that we were offered a champagne and given a tour of the house. The property consists of a superbly restored farmhouse with parts of it that date back to the 15th century. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a very comfortable bed, we even had a stair that lead to an attic with couch and rocking chair, but we were so busy doing bike tours every day in the area that we didn’t use the upstairs space very often. That was also not needed since we were made to feel welcome in all the ground floor areas of the farmhouse. The view from the room was so nice, every morning we could see all the cars stopped in the road because a herd of cows had to cross from one field to the next, which was a very idyllic and picturesque view to wake up to. The breakfast was superb and very extensive with charcuterie plate and freshly baked croissants, yoghurt and scrambled eggs. We even got fresh apple juice from the farm. The best thing about La Belle Maison is the warm feeling we got all the time, like we were part of the family, after returning home from our bike rides through the fields and hills, having a glass of wine in front of the warm fireplace was the best after a long day. The countryside around La Belle Maison is so beautiful, with nature and fields and forests. The town centre is a 4 minute walk away with a nice restaurant right next to the church for lunch and dinner. We will certainly return to the valley of the Geul river and La Belle Maison to be cherished by Dieter and his wife once more. Positive: Reception was great. The room was great and the breakfest, well... First you think; this is it? But then!! Just too much! We didnt have to eat rest of the day, even hiking about 20km's that day we ate dinner at 20:00 or so. Just a friendly tip: Loud people, please stay away! The walls are a bit thin, so speaking with a lowered voice is appreciated. There are some cool drinks available in a fridge that you can purchase. Thanks again, and hopefully biss spater!
Negative: On the pictures it shows a very nice room with very nice couches, but this was the owners private space. Looked also beautifull! It is not a negative, but just a remark.
Summary: Great stay, great owners, absolutely stunning area.
