Positive: The host greeted and welcomed us warmly. The house is spacious and surrounded by lush greenery. The sound of flowing water is incredibly calming, with a water fountain that feels like a small waterfall. There are many gardens around the villa, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. When the weather is clear, you can enjoy a stunning view of Mount Kinabalu right in front of the villa. From the room at the back, there is a beautiful sunrise view to start the day. Breakfast was provided, and the kitchen is comfortable..perfect for mingling and cooking together. On the first day, breakfast was good, with nasi goreng and eggs. On the second day, the mee goreng was a bit dry and came with processed chicken sausage. The host was very kind and even let us try freshly harvested cabbage..it was incredibly fresh and sweet. Overall, the host truly gave the best that she could. I wish to visit again
Negative: We booked the villa for 8 pax; however, the beds provided were only sufficient for 6 pax. The remaining 2 guests had to sleep on very thin mattresses (around 2cm), which were quite uncomfortable. Considering the price, better-quality sofa beds or mattresses should be provided. I know host said ''sofa beds were damage''- but hope you can replace with better quality not provide the very thin mattresses The living room and the sofa area had an unpleasant smell of cats, which made it uncomfortable to stay or sleep there. Additionally, two bathrooms in the villa did not have doors or curtains, which affected privacy. The soap was not refilled, and the water heater in the shared bathroom (near kitchen) was not functioning. As the weather was cold, we had hoped to use the chimney and firewood, but these were not available. The bedroom temperature was more comfortable compared to the living room. The jacuzzi was very basic, and the bath soap provided was also basic. The road leading up to the villa was rough and uncomfortable to drive on; however, we understand that this is fairly common for the Kundasang area.
Summary: calm and scenic place. some facilities could be improved for a better experience with price paid

Positive: Beautiful, serene and quiet. Amazing view of Mt K in the mornings. Beautiful landscape surrounding the bungalow too. Bungalow was well equipped with all kitchen utensils. Many many pillows available. Staffs were reachable at all times too.
Negative: 1. No water dispenser provided. Or at least filtered pipe water flow. We have to stock up on mineral water from the town which is a long distance away 2. The bungalow is located very deep inside Mesilau and the roads leading to the property is gravel road. 3. Open concepts of bathroom. Not user friendly. 4. Outside bathroom was spoilt and still under repair during our visit; which in my opinion should be compensated by the owner in terms of cost. As I believe I should be getting what I’m paying for.

Positive: To have the host waiting for you at the property is a great feeling, to make you feel welcome, as well as it is always good to know what the host looks like, so that you won’t get weird people trying to con you into believing that they are the host, which could be dangerous.
Negative: The property needs a bit of work, considering there are often children around; the bathroom sink in the master bedroom en-suite had a broken drain cover and was sharp. If the children like to play water whilst washing their hands, they could cut their hands.
Summary: Great view of Mount Kinabalu; the property was spacious and beautiful garden.

Positive: Great views n pleasant surroundings. Well equipped kitchen. Well maintained garden.
Negative: Internet was very slow n hard to access data. The homestead was not very clean. We saw some cockroaches. The water pump Was very noisy and keeps operating at night . Can’t open windows n ventilation poor.
Summary: Great location and if details were taken care of better, the stay would be more pleasant n memorable
