Positive: We stayed in the two bedroom apartment which is actually below the ground floor apartment. The apartments are all quite different so check carefully which is best, depending on time of year. We had a terrace without the lovely sea view, but since we were there in July it was probably better to have the shady terrace with no view that came with our apartment. It was a pleasant place to spend time in the heat of the day; we also were there at night but there was only central lighting so we were reading by the torches of our phones. Better lighting options would have been appreciated (also in the second bedroom which had one main light between the beds - no reading lights). The two bedrooms were completely separate, both were cooled only by a fairly basic fan so it was quite hot at night. There were very few plug sockets so in the bedroom that had two bedside lights, one had to be unplugged to plug in the fan. Charging phones was a bit challenging too. The smaller bedroom had torn mosquito netting on the window, which wasn’t great given that it was so hot in the rooms that we were sleeping with doors and windows open. The bathroom was small and quite basic, with the shower right over the toilet. There was no internet, which was as advertised, so no complaints, but something to be aware of. The property has some advantages - the decoration is nice and location is great, just above the best beach on the island and not far from some good restaurants. Overall though, we were a bit surprised to find the facilities so basic at this price level and felt we had much better value elsewhere in the beautiful Aeolian islands.
Negative: Fans weren’t really adequate to cool the rooms. Limited lighting options to read at night. Not enough plug sockets. Torn mosquito netting on one window. Lack of internet could be highlighted in property description. Also the description could be a bit clearer on what to expect in each apartment, the ground floor apartment has the beautiful sea view terrace but little shade, whereas our two bedroom apartment was below the ground floor apartment and had no view but plenty of shade. One more thing to be aware of is that we had to walk across the terrace of the ground floor apartment to access our apartment, so privacy could be an issue.
Summary: Great location, nice terrace,facilities a bit more basic than expected in the two bedroom apartment.

Positive: This is a very different and authentic place to stay with delightful on site owners- Maria and Franceso. An old house now divided into 3 'places' to rent, each with a terrace. 2 of the 3 have outside bathrooms and kitchens. The location is perfect. The terraces are lovely for relaxing
Negative: It was a shock to realise the 'one bedroom apartment' was in fact a bedroom and then with an outside kitchenette and an outside bathroom - which is not shared .

Positive: Everything about La Casa di Nona Ida is idyllic. We adored our brief but magical stay on Stromboli. We particularly liked the outdoor kitchen and living spaces, even in November. It was exceptionally clean and was stocked with the proper amount of pots/pans/etc for cooking.
Negative: Nothing. It was perfect for us.
Summary: The best. We would stay again.

Positive: Little paradise! Beautiful spot, the view of the vulcano and the sea from the terrace absolutely unforgettable. The owner is really kind and helpful. The room was clean and spacious, the marvellous well-equipped kitchen and the bathroom are located outside, just next to the big terrace where you could take a rest on the sunbeds. The house is placed outside the centre of Stromboli village, the most touristic part, so you can get away from all the noises and truly chill out here. Also, within 3 min walk you reach a nice beach.
