Positive: This is a beautiful hotel, with an outstanding restaurant. On the fancy side for a Francigena pilgrim, but a very worthwhile splurge. My room, very comfortable and nicely appointed, had a balcony with a stunning view over the Loue Valley and surrounding mountains. Staff is friendly, and quite informal: no one was there when I arrived, but the door was open, with a handwritten note and a number to call. I called, and was told which room was mine and to take the room key from the hooks at the front desk. Dinner at the restaurant was superb, with a to-die-for view.

Negative: you could change the hair drayer for one a little bit modern. The rest was perfect!

Positive: Location and good restaurant

Negative: Nobody there when we arrived. Phoned up and got told to go to room 20. This was a dirty used room. Phoned again and told to use 21. Shower is dangerous with very slippy base and too high step in and out

Summary: It was needs must booking but as we didn’t see any staff it’s hard to comment. Great location with fantastic views
