Positive: Beautiful traditional estate, beautifully located, very clean, two well-kept gardens (front and back) with huge cacti, small trees and exotic plants, beautiful views of the mountains, good access, safe place for the car (gate), very good contact with the owner. Great decor with attention to detail, air conditioning. The house is located in the middle of the island, so there is good and quick access to anywhere in Gran Canaria, although the roads are very winding. The property is in sunlight almost all day long, house is surrounded by mountains, so there is no wind there. Close to the nice town of San Bartolomé where you can find two small shops and several cheap and good restaurants. Wine, fruit and small snacks upon arrival, comfortable wide bed although with a hard mattress (we liked it)). Outdoor swimming pool and shower, additional outdoor kitchen, large selection of dishes and cutlery. Hot water without problems, including an outdoor shower.
Negative: There is little space inside because only half of the house is available (everything you can see in the photos). Perfect size for a couple or 2+1 family. But in Gran Canaria you sit outside almost all the time because you take advantage of the weather, and there is plenty of space to sit and lie down. We were there in March and because the house is high in the mountains it was cold at night. Although the house has radiators installed, it can only be heated by air conditioning (not very efficient). The water in the pool was cold, but on a sunny day we could use it. Quite expensive, but worth it and we recommend it!
