The country house is surrounded by more than 23 hectares of open countryside: woods, meadows, olive groves, vineyards and cereal fields. Here you will find an ideal place for a peaceful holiday in a still very unspoilt natural environment. With around 11,000 inhabitants, Volterra offers a comprehensive infrastructure, supermarkets, specialised shops, boutiques, restaurants of all kinds and price ranges. Cities such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena and San Gimigniano are between 30 and 80 kilometres away and the Mediterranean is only 40 kilometres away. La Cisterna takes its name from the old cistern in front of the flat, which can be used as a spacious terrace. We make our own natural wine, mainly from San Giovese grapes, and produce a high quality olive oil, which our guests can taste and buy. At the appropriate times of year, we also have fruit and vegetables from our vegetable garden and from the fruit trees in the garden.
