It is on ground floor in a small complex less than half a mile from shops, services and the médiéval market. It is very light and has tiled flooring throughout.
With two bedrooms it can easily accommodate 4 people, but has the possibility of sleeping up to 6 using the sofa-bed (with a Bultex mattress 140*190) in the living-room.
The open plan living-room, west facing, includes a fully equipped kitchen, with 2 zones induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, multi-function oven , mixer, Nespresso, kettle.

Summary: We had stayed in this apartment once before with our children a few years ago and now returned as a couple. It has a good sized parking space, a sunny private terrace and plenty of space inside. There are so many places to eat within a short walk we didn’t bother to cook much though we did need to reserve the earlier in the day or the day before in the evening. We hired bikes for the week but the weather was so warm we also spent a lot of time by the pool . Everything was perfect !

Summary: The apartment was impeccable, very small kitchen, but all as described. Lovely pool, only small gripe was we don’t think it’s cleaned every day and saw something that put us off swimming until the overnight clean had been done one night. That being said, it was very hot and there had been a lot of folk having a lovely time cooling off, so it was probably getting above average use. We cycled far and wide every day and it was lovely to come back and relax by the pool, with other friendly residents (some who own properties there). La Jolie Brise is perfectly positioned, with shops and harbour within a few minutes walking distance. There were only two of us, but the apartment, which stayed wonderfully cool, would have been perfect for 4 people with 2 generous size bedrooms. Really the only problem was the airport transfer, there are no buses to the island from the airport, except July and August, it is essential to pre-book your taxi to and from the airport when you book your flight (use local taxis otherwise it could cost £150 +) As we asked the owners, we were disappointed that they couldn’t recommend anyone, but we visited the tourist office and found there are 2 taxi companies in La Flotte - we used Beatrice Taxis to get to the airport, but had to get there 4 hours before our flight as they were fully booked later, you may have to use Google translate if you’re not a French speaker, they accept bookings by text, and confirm by text. Bothering to do this as it took us 3 hours to get to La Flotte by taking the bus into La Rochelle and getting the bus for La Flotte at the bus station. The return journey saw us at the airport 4 hours before our flight because all the taxis were fully booked. Hope this will be helpful, it is a fabulous place to go if you enjoy low key relaxing holidays, immersed in nature and beautifully unspoilt villages.

Summary: Nice flat situated in the lovely village La Flotte. The flat is close to the village centre (less than 5 min walk/3 min with bike to the main street and the market) and also close to a large supermarket. The pool area was very appreciated by our two children. The apartment is suitable for families or couples. We really enjoyed staying here.

Summary: The appartment is located in a small facility. The facitility was well maintained with a nice pool. The appartment is just fitting for four people while the kitchen and the sitting area for breakfast/dining was just a little bit small. But to mention that there is a larger sitting area on the terrace which could be used by warm weather. We found all common supplies like toilet paper, spices etc.. Big plus. Some things in larger numbers some less. Besides the small size the kitchen was well equipped. The City center with Restaurants, Supermarket, bicycle renting and bakery is just a 5 minute walk away. We liked to visit the local daily market which is just a small highlight in La Flotte. The local contact and communication was just friendly and all was handled quickly. In sum we had a nice stay and would come back again. One remark at the end :The cleaning arrangement is not that good. We found a not well cleaned appartment when we arrived. So we negotiated to clean the appartment at the beginning instead of the end. This should be changed somehow. Raise the daily fees depending on number of nights and get it cleaned professionally. You cannot rely on guests.
