Positive: We traveled by car and got some unexpected delays, the host was very flexible and met us on arrival. The house was very cozy, clean and heated before our arrival. The wood stove is a real bonus and made the stay extra comfortable. The area is beautiful and we did some great hikes. The check-out was easy and again, the host was flexible in our check-out time which made our last day very relaxed.

Negative: The house is a little outdated, but this was known beforehand and everything was in working order and in good condition.

Negative: Way too much (old) kitchen stuff. Bench in living room unhygienic. (Own fleece plaid over it.) Wardrobe (smell, little mold at the bottom) Bring your own bed linen, towels and kitchen/tea towels. (Towels forgotten, happy to have Action nearby. )

Positive: The location is great! I had a trail run race in Bouillon. It’s a 20 min drive. The place is very quiet and you have plenty of places to sit and enjoy. The fireplace was very nice to have with the rainy weather, it warmed up the living room in no time. Also there is a big fridge and a small freezer for the food. The host is very friendly. She was waiting for us to arrive with a friendly smile and switching from English to Dutch we managed to understand each other.

Negative: It’s very dusty and there is a lot of mold in the bathroom. If you have allergies you might want to rethink. The screens by the doors to keep the mosquitos out are either too small or broken. There are no mosquito nets by the beds.

Summary: For a weekend stay, it’s good!
