Summary: I booked this space for my family to take a break at the midpoint of our road trip to Indiana. My primary requirement for a space was having an indoor pool so that my children could unwind after a day in the car. When we checked in, the pool was closed. Additionally, I booked the space based on 5 sleeping spaces (2 adults and 3 children). The attendant said that the spaces had a pull out couch bed, however it did not (2 double beds only). We went to call the desk but the phone did not work, so we went to talk to them and the attendant told us they do not have those pull out couches or cots. A double was too small for me to sleep with 2 children while my SO slept with the 3rd older child, so I got horrible sleep.

Summary: We stayed at this La Quinta over the weekend. It was just about what I’d expect - reasonably nice rooms (especially nice shower which did NOT have a low-flow head), a breakfast appropriate to a hotel at this price point, and common areas fairly clean. Big exception was the pool. Given the wicked heat it would have been nice to have a swim but when we arrived the pool water was green, there wasn’t even a whiff of chlorine in the pool room, you couldn’t see more than about 18 inches in the water, and there was a sheen of what I assume was the oil from the skin of a whole lot of previous guests. Several people commented about the gross water, and the front desk staff didn’t seem to care much. The manager said someone was doing maintenance on the pool but that’s hard to believe - my own hot tub would take days of ignoring water chemistry to get into the condition that pool water was in. Other than that our trip was fine.

Summary: The good::: The staff was friendly. Our room was clean and exactly as described on the booking page. The breakfast offerings were great. We had a good time all in all. The awful::: Despite asking for a crib when booking and being assured the night before checking in that we would have one, the manager had to scramble to find a pack-and-play instead. The pool was closed for maintenance when we got there but we were told it would be open by that afternoon——it ended up being closed our ENTIRE stay opening around the kids bed time the night before check out but we were given the name of a local pool that we could PAY to use instead of the pool that would have been included in our hotel stay. There were a lot of run down looking areas within the hotel itself, i.e. railings in elevator broken off, security cameras taped up, and quite a few amenities such as ice machines with “out of order” typed up notes on them.

Summary: Drug deals in the parking lot, rooms could be entered without the keycard (we were in room 216 which you could just open wide open). The beds were reasonably comfortable.. the bathrooms were a bit dirty. The lights in room 217 wouldn’t turn on. Some updating needs to take place.

Summary: Reception did not care. Not friendly. No food available in the little store, only candy. Room needed many repairs, ceiling, bath area, walls had damage. Overall impression was not good but I was too tired to find another location. I do know I will not be returning anytime soon. Breakfast had little to offer.

Summary: A deciding factor of choosing LaQuinta was the indoor pool, which was closed for maintenance, after asking repeatedly about when the pool would be open. Finally on our third day into our stay, the pool opened. Not sure if there was any maintenance being conducted, but was happy to have the pool open.

Summary: Kind of run down and dumpy hotel. Bathroom was not very clean. Luckily we were not spending much time there aside from sleeping.

Summary: The bathroom floor was wet after a shower. Used a towel to dry up floor and it turned black. Coffee was spilled by someone on our first day at hotel in the elevator. The spill was there 2 days later. Hotel room card kept deactivating, there was no verification that we were the occupants of the room when we asked for key card to be reactivated. Staff was nice and friendly, but hotel had visible damage such as broken windows, leaky roof in friends room, wall damage. Ice maker did not work on 2nd floor. Hotel had potential but doesn't seem well maintained.
