Summary: the hall carpets were very dirty and stained. the halls did smell bad also. hall carpets need to be steamed cleaned and deodorized. breakfast was just ok. the best thing on the breakfast was the waffles, with peanut butter, and sugar free syrup. the sausage links did not and were not completely cooked. the scrambled eggs were just ok. the hotel is pet friendly, but there were some dogs barking at night any time some one walked down the hall, even late at night.

Summary: Always good! On Hotel.com we can read free breakfast every day 6am to 9am. So, on weekend the breakfast begin at 7am. That was too late for us.

Summary: I made my reservation with la quinta Winchester because of its excellent reviews. My expectations were high. I have 2 issues to report. The first, a minor one, the sink drain seemed to be stopped up. Not completely, but I had to tap the drain to water drain out of the sink. The second was the thermostats. The one on the wall was set for 72. It was very warm outside. The actual temp read 68, but it felt much cooler. I got up in the middle of the night chilled so I tried to adjust the temp to a higher setting. 30 minutes later the actual temp was still 68. It felt much cooler so I turned off the AC on the wall. I didn't realize the floor unit was on and blowing cold air. The actual temp on floor unit was 64. I turned off that unit too. The actual temp on the wall read 73 when I got up at 6:30am. All said, more than half the night the room was uncomfortably cold. I couldn't figure out why or how a hotel room could have a wall thermostat which seemed to work in conflict with a floor unit set at 64.

Summary: There was road construction from midnight to 6am. The complimentary ear plugs didn't help. The stack of juice cups in the morning were dirty and covered in flies.

Summary: Stay was okay, clean hotel, but minor inconveniences will cause me not to stay here again. A nice pet friendly hotel, but don't care for dogs in the tiny breakfast serving room. Also, the hotel will not transfer an outside call to a room or allow direct room calling.
