Positive: This gorgeous historic home with Victorian era furnishings and decor is actually two townhouses, so some options are rooms and some are apartments. There is a grand piano for guests to play and we were lucky enough to have someone staying there who played beautifully! The B&B is in a wonderful location, walkable to many great restaurants, museums, parks, etc. Just meandering around the neighborhood is a joy. Historic Rittenhouse Square is a block away and there is a fantastic farmer's market on Saturdays. There are numerous historic home museums all around (we love visiting historic homes). Delicious and plentiful daily breakfast is provided in this B&B (baked goods, cereals, yogurts, fruits, juices, bagels, various spreads, tea, coffee, oatmeal and hot items on the weekends (omelettes, fresh baked cherry tort, quiche - it varies.) One of the innkeepers is a chef. The Wifi is excellent and so is the air conditioning (we stayed there during a heat wave and were very comfy and cool). The place is nice and clean and the staff is super helpful and can make recommendations of things to do. The bathroom had strong water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. We stayed in an apt. on the 4th floor with a charming neighborhood and tree view. It was super spacious with a full kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, pots, pans for cooking, etc.) and large living room (with TV, although we don't care about TV and didn't watch it), plus a large bedroom and private bathroom. We LOVED this B&B and will definitely stay here again. It is walkable to most major Philly tourist sites if you like walking. About 20 minutes scenic and beautiful walk to downtown City Hall area and Marriott Conference center. A 35-40 minute walk to the Liberty Bell plaza, The Mint, Betsy Ross house, Carpenter's Hall, various museums and other historic sites.
Negative: It would be nice to have coffee and tea available all day, rather than only at breakfast. This is a small thing and we really loved this B & B. One thing I should mention is that there are no elevators. We didn't mind this at all, but for anyone with mobility issues, be aware that some rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floor and you need to carry your bags upstairs.
Summary: Victorian splendor with modern comforts - a uniquely charming lodging experience

Positive: The rooms are cute. The dinning hall is pretty. The lobby is quite nice too.
Negative: No fridge in the room, no TV, no microwave for guests. It does smell bit old but that was expected. The room was comfortable but I guess it was bit expensive after I stayed there. Maybe good for a 1-2 day stay.
Summary: Cute B&B but a bit pricey

Positive: Location was perfect for walking anywhere in Philly. Beds were very comfortable, it was clean, and hospitable.
Negative: I recommend getting a room that doesn’t share a bathroom…. particularly 2 different Western Europeans couples staying in a room down the hall sharing the bathroom were dirty. Left trash on the floor, hair dryer out, shit in toilet, and always toilet seat up. Not hotels fault… but two different couples in a row through our stay has made me rethink ever sharing a restroom again.
Summary: Beautiful and Convenient Location

Positive: The room was clean and comfortable. Hosts were very kind and also they let us leave our luggage before check in and after check out as our schedule was beyond estimated hours.
Negative: The room does not have black out curtains so it was illuminated both at night because of the garden’s lights and during the day because of the sun. It was not great for sleeping.
Summary: It was a great place to stay in. The neighborhood was super quiet and very nice. I would recommend this place for sure.
