Negative: Shower in main room was not clean. Cutlery was just laying loose in the drawer. Blinds in the tv room dnt work. Couch blankets had holes in. Old blankets. Tv room carpet had oil stains. No extra blankets in the rooms Only 1 aircon worked. Wifi was weak. Tv channels didnt work. Netflix. Swimming pool didnt work Pots were so old.

Positive: The house was enormous, open and had 4 bedrooms with comfortable, queen-sized beds and clean. Great bathrooms, lots of bath towels, clean, etc. The dining table was huge and lovely. The location was perfect. It was secure. Walvis Bay is a lovely place to visit with lots to see in and around the town.
Negative: A pool is advertised, but the pool is covered and dilapidated and unsable, so that was inaccurate advertising. It also states there is a washing machine, but that is in an area that was locked. I know ants are a reality of being near the beach, but the ants were INSANE. We had to be so careful where we placed anything in the kitchen. Main bedroom needs at least 1 pedastal. We chose the house because it had wifi as we were still working, but the wifi barely worked. Was difficult to accomplish work. The aircon didn't work in one of the bedrooms, and it was just too hot for anyone to use that room (upwards of 38). The cleaning lady showed up 40 minutes early and took us by surprise on our day of checkout (letting herself in), making us feel rushed. She came in and made herself at home for a few minutes until she realised we were trying to pack up and some of us were still in pyjamas. Then, she was nowhere to be seen when we really needed to leave. Not quite worth the N$2000/night we basically paid, including a SURPRISE cleaning fee of N$400. Booking.com does not process any credit cards for any accommodation in Namibia, and this is a MASSIVE pain. I had to do an international EFT because the owners are not on site. Even if we did pay cash, it would have been difficult to get out the amount needed from an ATM in one go. Booking.com needs to HELP Namibia and these small business owners to make staying in their units easier for international visitors. Bookings make us think we are paying with a credit card, and only when we arrive does the owner let us know we have to pay cash. Thankfully, I'm South African and with the same bank, but what about people from other countries? Bookings, do better and make this easier for these small business owners to collect their money.

Positive: Enormous place. The kids loved the space and the dart board. Nice and secure with a garage for the car. There was a bit of a problem with the booking.com rate that the hosts were sent differing from what we were told online but the hosts were very good about it and honoured the rate we were quoted.
Negative: It's cash only, which was a bit tricky for us as we stayed 2 days and most cash machines have a limit of 2000 Namibian dollars. Would be good if we could pay through booking.com or credit card/paypal/etc at the place.
Summary: Enormous and very reasonably priced place, suitable for a large family to stay
