Summary: This is a very nice home it had everything you would need for a stay. The only issue we had was the train going by 100 feet from the house at 330 am and again at 530 am evey morning blowing the air horn.

Summary: The home was spacious and lovely Very well equipped. That being said the train in the backyard was a negative, would have not been a problem except for the time 3am and 5am, awakening us every time. Also the view was obscured by many trees, and many steps to the water. But as I said quite nice home.

Summary: Our extended family of 7 (old and young adults) had a wonderful time at the lake house. Lots of space, well stocked, beautiful setting. We appreciated the 2 kayaks available for guests. A little disappointed that the dock wasn't up due to high water level, but didn't diminish the good time we had.

Summary: This was our second stay at the Overlook Lodge and as the first stay we were not disappointed! The lodge is beautiful and large enough for a large family. Our view of Lake Champlain from the deck of the lodge is incredible especially early mornings watching the sunrise! Having the dock was also a huge plus!!

Summary: House and property were as listed, the house is very large and could comfortably fit a much larger group. Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of outside seating. There is a charcoal grill, I would suggest the owner’s acquire a propane grill as some people may not be familiar with using charcoal and for ease of use. The first night the train did wale us up, mostly because of our startled dogs, lol. The next few nights were not so bad, would definitely recommend keeping the windows closed. The water is crystal clear and a good temperature for swimming. I would recommend this property and look forward to returning at some point.

Summary: Nice large house tucked away on a dead end road. Plenty of room for everyone, pretty much everything you need. House could benefit from A/C as it was particularly hot and muggy during our stay, plenty of fans provided though. Water at this location is nice and clear, no vegetation, very rocky bottom, bring your water shoes as zebra muscles are present past the end of the dock. Skip the cardio prior to your trip as the stairs down to the water will have you in tip top shape by the end of your stay. The train as mentioned in prior reviews wasn’t that big of a deal, usually one came through early afternoon and the other came through around 5am, which was fine by me as an early riser, it got me up just in time to see the magnificent sunrises from the upstairs master suite. Overall great Adirondack feel and everyone enjoyed their stay.

Summary: We had a wonderful time during our week long vacation. The location is remote which makes for a very relaxing time, the water was cold but not so much that we couldn’t go in. The beach area is rocks so it was helpful to read other reviews that said to bring water sneakers, these were worth their weight in gold. We brought additional paddle boards since we were a group of 9. There was a perfect place near the grill to set up our cornhole boards, we made s’mores on the beach in a fire pit area that maybe a previous guest set up. The town of Keeseville is small but had a Stewart’s, a liquor store, Likkor Lokker, and a very small grocery store, Arnold’s. It’s not really a grocery store but it had necessities and lots of random things. The owner of Arnold’s/Likkor Lokker (same owner) was very friendly. Stewart’s has food and the BEST ice cream. We went to Fort Ticonderoga, AuSable Chasm and spent a day at Schroon Lake which is about an hour 15 min drive but a great little town which a very nice sandy beach. Our dogs had a great time, there’s no fenced area so we brought a lead for our runner which worked great for us. My teens made good use of the pool table and we spent a lot of nights playing games we brought. There are some games at the house and giant Jenga. The kitchen has a huge pot that worked well for our crab boil. There’s an electric kettle, roaster pan, blender, plenty of baking dishes and pots and pans, serving dishes, utensils and baking sheets (a couple more now since we forgot ours) muffin pans, etc. The bugs weren’t bad at all, I brought bug spray and a theracell but didn’t need either. There’s an island called Schuyler Island that’s about a mile and a half in the distance, some of our group kayaked/paddled out to it which was cool. The history of it is interesting as well. The train…really not that bad. I brought ear plugs but I don’t think anyone used them. You really do get used to it and block it out while sleeping after a night or two. Check in and out was easy, never had any issues during our stay so we had no need to reach out to the property manager but the communications we had prior to and after our stay were pleasant and I always received prompt responses. Would highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a low key, relaxing vacation in the Adirondacks.
