2 Bedroom Cabin in Longville

Cabins are well-spaced, face south, and situated on 450 feet of pristine sandy shoreline, a beautiful beach, and amongst the pines! Enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, skiing, paddle boarding, or just relaxing on the sky blue waters of Blackwater Lake. Awake to the call of loons and refreshing cool breezes - this is paradise in the North Country!
Cabin has modern amenities and recent remodeling, yet retains many original characteristics (1930's). Lake views are spectacular! Bedrooms have double beds (linens provided). Remodeled and updated bathroom (towels - both bath and kitchen are not provided). Kitchen is well-equipped with gas stove, medium-sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, dish-ware, utensils, etc. Dining rooms overlook the lake and there is also an outside picnic table/chairs, and an inside living area equipped with couch and chairs. Ideally, 2 to 4 people are easily accommodated and there is a possibility to sleep one person in the living room space.
You may rent one of two boats for an additional charge: either a 16 foot Alumacraft with a NEW 8 hp Yamaha motor ($45/day or $225/wk), or a 16.5 foot Lund with a 40 hp Honda, a Minn Kota remote-controlled electric trolling motor, and a color fish finder graph ($90/day or $450/wk).
Your own private dock space for one boat in front of cottage is provided. A public access and free boat launch is located 3/4 mile away. Blackwater Lake is on the Leech Lake chain of lakes and there are many lakes within a twenty mile radius to fish or boat on - including Woman Lake (across the road), Mule Lake (1.5 miles), Wabedo Lake (8 miles), Little Boy (10 miles), Leech Lake (20 miles), etc.
Blackwater Lake is classified by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as a 'trophy' bass lake - but the lake is also an incredible walleye, crappie, panfish, and northern lake. The lake is >700 acres with protected bays for activities - be they for fishing or recreation. The owner has over 50 years experience with the cabin and the entire Longville area and happily assists with your planning of activities for an enjoyable vacation.
Cabin availability is Memorial Day thru September, minimum 3 days rental (5 days during peak season).
Cabins are located 190 miles north of Minneapolis and 50 miles north of Brainerd. Nearby towns of Longville (7 miles), Hackensack (12 miles), and Walker (27 miles) offer shopping and many other activities throughout the season. Bemidji and Itasca (Mississippi headwaters) are an easy day trip away.

Summary: We enjoyed this cozy cabin for a week of fishing! Great location, very relaxing! The cabin was stocked with everything we needed and even a gas grill, fire pit and charcoal grill! We were able to rent a pontoon for 2 days, right at property site, it was great!! Very clean cabin!

Summary: cute cabin, just the right size for two adults and two big dogs. right on the water. very hot one day, thankful we brought some of our own fans to add to the cabins fans. the grills were dirty and hubby cleaned both of them. water in kitchen sink was low pressure so it took extra long to wash up dishes. beds were super comfy. our boat we rented had the motor go out while hubby was out fishing...he had to row for over an hour to get back to the dock...blistered hands.

Summary: We enjoyed our break from late summer Iowa heat. Daytime temps were moderate, nighttime temps were cool, nice. Reese coming off the lake almost all the time. We were surprised we didn’t miss air conditioning! Nice Sandy beach swim area. Clear water lake. Easy access to docks and fishing boats only yards from the cabin. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Summary: This is a nice peaceful place. The cabins are clean, everything was in good working condition. The only thing it doesn't have is hooks to hang up wet clothes or coats.

Summary: Great cabin right on the shore of a nice size lake. Host was easily reachable, friendly, and helpful. Loved that the property had shared amenity of sandy beach, swim dock, paddle boards, swing set, and even fish cleaning hut. Highly recommend.

Summary: Perfect place to get away from TV and unwind the mind. Our school aged children had so much fun playing at the park, swimming, fishing and enjoying all of the resort amenities such as paddle boats, paddle boards, diving dock.etc.
