Enjoy the quaint rustic ambience of this northwoods cottage that's nestled on 2.4 acres of wooded bliss that includes 250 feet of sandy beach frontage on Lake Roland in the Twin Lakes area of the U.P. Located only 20 miles from the City of Houghton and Michigan Tech University. ATV, snowmobile and nature trails are minutes from the front door. Lake Superior is a short drive away. Krupp's Mini Mart and the Parkview Restaurant & Grill are walking distance. Omer's Golf Course less than a mile away. The famous Mosquito Inn, known as "The Bug" to the locals, is a few miles up the highway, but we'll worth the trip! A large aluminum fishing boat, 2 kayaks and life jackets are also provided for your lake cruising enjoyment during your stay! Come on U.P. !!

Summary: The house was perfect for my family of 5 to explore Michigan and play in the lake. The fishing was great and the kayaks, row boat, and accessories worked great for all of us to enjoy the lake together. We would definitely recommend!

Summary: We had an amazing stay in the UP. The house had everything we needed. Plenty of space for the 4 of us to unwind! We enjoyed the lake, the firepit, the huge kitchen table and all that the UP has to offer! We brought our 20ft ski boat and it was easy to put in at the state park right next door. It's a little shallow at the end of the dock, so we didn't keep the boat there overnight, but it was easy enough to go in and out at the park since it's not a super busy lake! All in all we had a great time and would definitely like to come back again!

Summary: This was perfect for our active family who also likes to relax. The fishing boat and kayaks were used often as well as the chairs at the beach. The lake was peaceful and the pasties at Krupp’s were yum!

Summary: Overall we really enjoyed the stay! It’s very clean, and spacious for our family. The view of the lake is gorgeous. It’s very quiet yet convenient driving to keneenaw and porcupine mountain state park. The communication with the property was okay, could be more smooth. Only one full bathroom and wish the bathtub could be used for a bath for our kids. Water pressure wasn’t nice but nothing else to complain about.

Summary: Cabin was super clean and very comfortable. I was informed via app the morning of check in that one of the bathrooms (the 1/2 bath) and washing machine would not be available to during our stay. Had I known earlier, I would have tried to find other accommodations… granted they hadn’t known until the previous guests checked out that morning. So not their fault at all. One bathroom for seven girls (ages 15-40) was slightly hectic!!! 😬
