WE CLEAN OUR VACATION HOME LIKE WE CLEAN OUR HOME....EXTRA CLEAN & DISINFECTED!
THIS VACATION HOME IS A RENOVATED LAKE VACATION HOME with amazing views of Cedar Lake from the home and from the backyard/firepit area. And you have LAKE ACCESS. Come and enjoy the 800 acre lake which is great for swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, etc. You have access to our large PRIVATE Lakefront Park across the street which includes the lake, a beach area, volleyball net, benches, picnic tables and a 300+ foot pier. (Pier may be under construction for part of 2023). There is an empty lot and street between this vacation rental and the Park, but you can walk through our property for a shortcut. You can't bring your boat, but you can rent pontoon boats, wave runners, kayaks and paddleboards. (When renting pontoon boats, request the ones with new upholstery.) Please note that rental boats can't enter our harbor/pier area nor tie up to our pier.
Also, no additional guests without prior approval.
3 night minimum.
Our home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, great mattresses and so much more. It sleeps 6 (3 queen size beds) with a kitchen filled with necessities. Don't forget to bring your beach towels, Keurig coffee K-cups, wood for the firepit and let the fun begin. Driveway can hold 4 cars and no parking on the street.
Many great shopping, antiques & dining options in Cedar Lake and surrounding towns...2 miles to The Lighthouse Restaurant, 10 min. to Lowell, 45 min. to Michigan City's Outlet Mall and beach on Lake Michigan and 5 min to disc golf at Lemon Lake.
Winter is a great time to visit too...you can ice fish, ice skate or on Sunday's when the ice is thick enough, you can enjoy Motocross (motorcycles racing on the ice).
Our Info Book will give you tons of ideas of all of the fun things to do in this area for adults and kids. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE..WE LIVE NEXT DOOR. Security cameras outside of the home which monitor quantity of people entering the house, property and driveway. If you have a party, the police will escort you out and you will not receive a refund.

Summary: My husband and I along with a friend of the family were in for a retirement party in Lowell, IN for a dear friend who lives in Crown Point, IN. The Cedar Lake rental was not only a perfect location, but a totally relaxing respite between activities. It was impeccably clean, comfortable and the kitchen was amply supplied. We’re sorry we didn’t have more time to explore the lake area more. In mid-September, it was quiet and the colors in the trees just starting to change. Our hostess was accommodating, we had everything we needed. An excellent weekend!

Summary: The property was wonderful! Three comfortable bedrooms, with two neat, clean bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed, with a new fridge and the washer and dryer came in handy. Barb and Bob were excellent hosts and Bob gave me a tour of the property and took me to the lake to show me around. The deck on the back was comfortable, and there was also a firepit in the yard. We were four guys in town for a senior softball tournament and could not have asked for a better place. The driveway fit our three cars comfortably. It was perfect. We'll defintitely be back!

Summary: Close to the water and very picturesque views from the yard. Fully stocked kitchen- Appreciated the “extras” like tinfoil, Pam spray- came in handy. Comfortable beds. Hosts are very involved- which has its advantages and disadvantages.

Summary: We stayed at Barb and Bob's property with friends and family for a weekend softball tournament. Check in was easy, property was extremely clean, and the location was great. The home was stocked with everything we could have needed. We enjoyed walking out on the dock to view the sunset over the lake and the short stroll down the road to Bugaboo's for dinner! We will definitely consider a return trip!

Summary: My husband and I (77 and 78) brought our 16 year old granddaughter for a week vacation. The home was in a terrific location, the hosts superior and the furnishing and decor excellent. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Don’t miss the museum, Fair Oaks Farm and some of the wonderful suggestions given by the hosts. The TV and WiFi were good, the Kurig appreciated by this coffee drinker and loved having enough dishes to really load the dishwasher. Thank you Bob snd Barb! We hope to return.

Summary: Barb and Bob do such a great job welcoming their guests and providing everything you need. Even though our weather wasn’t ideal, we still enjoyed our relaxing weekend finding things to do in and around Cedar Lake this time. It was nice to see the property to still be so clean and well maintained with small upgrades from last year. We look forward to staying again next year!
