Summary: It was a true MN lake country spot. Weather was perfect & we spent most of our time on the lakeside porch. Accomodations were wonderful with many spots to sit & visit. Several of us have lake homes & while it was windy at our lakes this spot was situated with very little wind which was an extra bonus. Gretchen was a great hostess.

Summary: Great lake property. Nice mix of spaces so people can get away from each other and do various activities. All bunk beds except master so some limitation but it is as represented in listing. Boats can't be left at dock overnight and must be pulled and put back in daily. Would stay here again.

Summary: The house had lots of spaces for me and my family. We totally enjoyed the outside space.and had a great time, location location location!!!! Holding tank was a worry since it needed to be emptied in less than 24 hrs The pics on the internet a little deceiving The house could sure use some TLC.

Summary: Check in was at 4pm, we showed up at 3:50 to be respectful so she wasn’t waiting around for us. First thing that came out of her mouth was “your 10 mins early, I still have cleaning to do” and “are you even 21?” My Almost 30 year old pregnant self was very offended by that introduction. She followed up with “are you guys going to be partying this weekend?” Which I had already answered prior to showing up that this was a family weekend with my 80 year old grandparents. Just be prepared for many questions if you look young before showing up to check in. Overall cabin cleanliness was okay.

Summary: Plenty of room to relax and enjoy the view of lake Melissa from this older lakeside cabin. Comfortable beds and quiet location at the west side of the lake.

Summary: The lake part of this place is awesome. Beautiful back deck and it was great being right on the water. But this is the kind of place you have to get used to in order to love... the master bath heats itself with the water heater pipes in the floor and the holding tank's pump fires up every time someone uses water, so the earliest risers should get the master bedroom because the pump is noisy. The hostess was polite and solicitous once we contacted her by phone the day before we were supposed to come in. The VRBO 'check-in app' had no info or details. I couldn't give 5 stars for cleanliness because even though the inside was nice and clean, the spiders and lake flies had taken over the windows. The biggest sadness was when I tried to contact the owner 2 months before our reservation to see if she was willing to re-list it because more than half of our crew dropped out due to a death in the family. Crickets. It does say that it is a strict cancellation policy - but WOW... so strict that she wouldn't even respond to me. All I wanted was for it to be relisted and refund me only if someone else could take it. There was NO risk for her because she already had all my money. Sad.

Summary: Our family found this property to be perfect. We have a cottage four doors down so the walk down the beach was very convenient. The cottage was quiet, clean, and comnfortable.

Summary: The property was as described and fit our families needs very well. If I had any complaints it would be with VRBO and when they charge. I reserved early February for a late June rental and the funds were removed from my credit card as soon as I hit the reserve button.
