Summary: I loved it here so much I almost didn’t want to review it and keep it all to ourselves. Beautiful old lake house that felt like home. We will definitely be back — it’s beyond special at Fiddle Lake.

Summary: Beautiful location on a (currently frozen) lake close to (5 miles from) Elk Mountain, which is probably the best ski resort in PA. Pam was a wonderful host and very accessible. House stayed toasty warm throughout despite -5°F overnight temperature.

Summary: The location is very picturesque, right on a pretty little lake. We were here to ski, but I'd love to return in the summer to do some hiking and biking. The house has an old time lodge feel, very comfortable living room for hanging out, and it was a nice touch that the fire was all set to go when we arrived - all we had to do was light it and there was plenty of wood. It's well equipped - we even grilled despite it being winter. The four bedrooms are all very comfortable, and the host, Pam was extremely responsive and welcoming and responded to my texts right away. It's also perfect for skiing at Elk, which is only ten minutes away. We loved our stay!

Summary: This place is truly a hidden gem. This house is old and well kept. It is decorated with a lot of history which was an experience in it of itself. It is located directly on the lake with space to sit on the dock, swim, and use several kayak/row boats that are provided by the hosts. The property itself is larger than appears in the photos. There is a little pond in the corner filled with frogs as well. Pam is also a great host. She was very accommodating and I hope to return someday.

Summary: Perfect weekend getaway on the lake. Wonderful property, great kayaking, beautiful old house. Sometimes you need relaxation, sometimes you need quiet, this place has both. The lake is clear and clean. Pam and Craig were great hosts.

Summary: The property is "as advertised' and the hosts couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The house is a short drive to Elk Mountain and the 3 claw foot tubs soothed the aches and pains of all that enjoyed a long day skiing!

Summary: Excellent from start to finish. Pam and Craig were helpful, available and attentive. The house is exquisite on the inside, especially if you like Craftsman/bungalo style architecture and furniture. Lots of interesting old books and knick-knacks around the house without feeling cluttered. Wood burning fireplace was very cozy and right next to a TV with access to movies for the kids. Beautiful vista of the lake. We were there for skiing at Elk Mountain, it was less than a 10 minute drive. So much snow and the kids enjoyed playing in the snow and on the edge of the frozen lake. Pam directed us to the General store (Cables) for dinner and snacks. It was Valentine's Day weekend and Cables had ordered in fresh Lobster rolls from Boston. As someone who grew up on Cape Cod, I thought the lobster was on point and a nice surprise option for a rustic V-Day Sunday night dinner after skiing. Highly recommended, I bet it's nice in the summer as well on the lake, hoping to get back there again soon.

Summary: We came in the dead of winter and couldn't take advantage of the lake beyond the views. The house is very convenient to Elk and and is cozy and comfortable. Pam was super thoughtful and brought us extra heaters when the temperature went way down.

Summary: Pam was great. House was very cozy and clean. great fireplace with lots of wood. Small bathroom and upstairs lacked heat but heat from 1st floor crept upstairs and we were fine sleeping even with the temp. outside in the teens

Summary: Pam, the host was great, and responsive. The place was exactly as described and was well prepped with firewood and an extra space heater in our room. My wife and I went during the winter so didn't get to enjoy the lake nevertheless, the soundlessness mornings having our coffee by dockside solaced us. Kitchen is plenty stocked with utensils, kitchenware and our dinner in the dining room were well lit and surrounded by beautiful furniture. We enjoyed the stay and will be returning during the summer.
