Summary: Perfect get away for the 4th of July The house was beautiful, clean, the view was amazing morning and Night. Michelle and Tim were very accommodating with all of our needs and questions. They made us feel like we were home, away from home. Can't wait to go back.

Summary: The space is wonderful & cozy in the winter with gorgeous views of the frozen Lake. It’s definitely the quiet getaway we were looking for. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the hot tub & exploring Lake Shetek State Park & Loon Island. The hosts were so helpful, friendly & great communicators. They were super accommodating & generous. I only regret not taking Tim up on Ice Fishing lessons. Hope to stay with these wonderful hosts another time in 2023!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tim and Michelle's cabin. Their cabin provided a good mix of relaxation and fun activities. We spent most of our time exploring the area parks and the evenings at the cabin either fishing, kayaking, or in the hot tub. We would stay here again!

Summary: Michele and Tim made our getaway so amazing with their responsiveness, helpfulness, and attention to detail. The unit was so clean and well stocked with all you need from cooking to games/activities to relaxation both inside and out. We loved the yard Jenga, hot tub, dock for our boat, and outdoor kitchen. Anytime we had questions, they responded promptly and were very helpful with suggestions of places to eat, fish, and explore. The lake was quiet because we went in the middle of the week and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will most definitely be going back!

Summary: Tim and Michele have a terrific set-up for family fun and fishing. There were four adults that slept in the two bedroom basement rental, but had twin beds for 3 more. The rest of our family came for a day of ice fishing and to celebrate Christmas together. The property was immaculately clean and very comfortable. There were clearly printed instructions on how to utilize all the options of the property. From using "Alexa" smart outlets and lights to how to properly use the real wood fireplace. The wood fireplace helped set a very festive mood and a warm, cozy place for us to gather after our time on the ice. Loved the fact that tv/living area was on one end, kitchen in the middle and pool table on other end of the same large space. This way, we could do a variety of activities, but still feel free to talk with others across the open floorplan. You are renting the basement of a ranch style house, and I was skeptical at first. Not being sure if there would be enough space. Also, there is a kitchenette and not a full kitchen. No oven, but they had a small air fryer/oven and also an induction electric hotplate which I did not remember seeing in the description. We planned meals ahead of time and found we could make everything we wanted. The ice fishing was a huge hit with my son-in-laws and the grandchildren! We found fish not far from shore and directly in front of the house. During the daylight hours, fishing was slow. A few perch and an occasional northern. We found if we came back out right before sunset, the walleye were ready to bite. In two evenings we caught 12 walleye total and kept 8! Four smaller, and the larger ranged from near 15"-up to 19". Perfect for eating! Tim and Michele were very helpful in giving us info on ice conditions and fishing locations. They even had a fish cleaning table in the garage out of the cold. If you like to fish, this is a great spot for you.
