Just 50 feet from the aptly named Rest Lake, this remote home is an excellent retreat for families and groups looking to get away from it all. Lake views come easy in this lovely lakefront home. Two different living room spaces (each with a wood-burning fireplace and one with a wet bar!) means there's extra room to relax. Central air conditioning will help you cool off after a long day of lake fun. Board games are provided and a poker table is all set up for fun late nights. The incredibly spacious kitchen has plenty of space to prepare your favorite meals, and there's room for four guests to enjoy breakfast at the bar. If you'd rather cook on the private gas grill, you'll be delighted at the view from the deck. The laundry room provides plenty of space and a laundry sink (in addition to the private washer/dryer) to help take care of everyone's swimsuits. The outdoor play structure will provide hours of fun, and there's always room for one more person around the firepit.

Summary: In general we enjoyed our time. The house was in good shape, even though the couch was being held up by a log. One of the disappointments was the gas grill was broken (igniter and burner). The inside was filthy with food dripping all over the propane tank. We had brought meat from home to grill out.

Summary: Beautiful home located on Rest Lake in Manitowish Waters, WI. Perfect location on the Manitowish chain of lakes. The home is large enough and furnished well to accommodate a large family vacation. Homes is adjacent to the 28 mile Manitowish Water bike trail that can take you to Boulder Junction in one direction and to Mercer in the other direction. Home is pet friendly and grounds are well kept and open to let your pet run. Fishing activity on the lake was excellent, having caught both Large and Smallmouth bass , Nothern Pike and Musky.

Summary: As far as cleanliness, the property was basically clean. Some stains on carpet and we had to empty the dishwasher from the previous guest. I rated the check-in a "3" because they gave us a code for the keyless entry. Unfortunately, there is something mechanically wrong with the front door lock system and we couldnt get in. Walked around to back and the door was unlocked so that is how we got onto our rental. From there, we had to call the 800 number to tell them the keyless entry lock didn't work and they told us where we could find the actual physical key for the property. They were very helpful. Later, we discovered NONE of the back doors to the property had locks that worked. I didn't likethat I booked this place with VBRO and ended up with Vacassa ... kind of confusing as I already had an account with VBRO and never heard of Vacasa. As far as accuracy of the listing, there is NOT a TV or DVD player in the whole place. There is, however, a huge TV antenna on the outside of the property. Both TV and DVD player are listed on the amenities so if that is important to you, you should be aware of this. Also, I think the pictures online are dated. The furnishigs are getting worn and there are several knobs missing from cupboards and drawers. The place could use a little TLC but all-in-all, a very nice property. We came to bike so not having a TV wasn't a deal breaker. We loved the proximity to the bike trails and we had a great time! I would book again.

Summary: Fantastic location!! So much to do and so close to the bike trails. The kids, parents, grandparents and dogs all enjoyed the home. Mountain biking, bike path riding, hiking, fishing......we should have stayed longer. Great space to entertain a large group.

Summary: Overall we had a nice stay. Great location and great size! A lot of the furniture is wobbly. We were hesitant to use nightstands and coffee tables. Even the dining room table chairs felt unstable. There were also a lot of burnt out lightbulbs. Lastly neither of the doors leading to the waterfront lock.

Summary: Very Quiet place with a beautiful lake. House had everything we needed. The air we had to shut off as it was freezing downstairs, and upstairs was comfortable. (froze the people sleeping downstairs after the first night) We did have to call the rental place as the code to enter the house on the door no longer worked and they had to provide us with a different code to get the spare key. But other than those its a great place overall!

Summary: This a very comfortable and spacious house filled with all of the comforts of home. In a great location as it’s accessible to trails and many fun destinations in town (restaurants, gas, grocery, etc). Love the lake side views and accommodations offered.
