The pond is closed to motorized watercraft, making it a perfect place for paddling in the available kayaks and aluminum canoe. This lakefront property also features a deck overlooking the lake! It's the perfect place to enjoy your meals or snacks since it provides a comfortable picnic table and even a gas grill.

Fort Edgecomb State Historic Site is the premier tourist spot in town. Built in 1808, the fort was a stronghold for the port of Wiscasset and saw a lot of action during the bloody War of 1812. Summary: We had a wonderful break from reality at Lily Pond - great fishing and paddle boarding, the dogs loved it, very peaceful! We also visited Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens not far away, and found good lobster rolls and homemade ice cream very close by. Exceptionally beautiful setting, particularly the master bedroom.

Summary: The pond view was mesmerizing in any weather and at any time of the day. We could enjoy it from our glass walled bedroom, the deck or the dock. The pond was lovely to swim in and we loved the quietness. We plan on returning.

Summary: The house is well located and the lake and dock are nice, but the Issues were the condition and cleanliness of the property. They do a superficial clean between guests, which is fine, but the interior drawers and cabinets/under sink are dirty and cluttered, walls peeling in the bathroom, baseboards and doors need to be cleaned, windows and screens are dirty, deck should at least be swept between guests, kitchen sink and fridge leak, house smells strongly of smoke, and the couch really really needs to be replaced as it’s covered in stains. That’s not okay. I had to request a sheet to put over it. And I think the fireplace may need to be inspected. It smoked the house with the flue open. The grounds are also unkempt and somewhat hazardous with brush. No comfortable indoor or outdoor furniture. And there are no “available kayaks.” Images and descriptions are way overstated. For almost $250 a night (after taxes and fees), I would expect that attention would be paid to the care and hygiene of the property for health, safety, and comfort. You cannot charge hotel prices for this quality of a rental. Way overpriced. Do not recommend.

Summary: Loved this place! Very private and quiet. Bathroom and Kitchen worked great. Canoe and private dock was a huge plus. The only issue was that the wifi did not work at all and reception is poor in the area. Of course, this is a great place to unplug, but some decent wifi to watch a late night movie, look up recipes, or play music would have been preferred.

Summary: This rental was the perfect private getaway with breathtaking views of the pond. 1 hour from Portland and a short drive from Boothbay Harbor. The property comes with all the amenities you need but prepare to disconnect from tech as the wifi is not suitable for video streaming. The outdoor property could use some upkeep but the house itself was very cozy. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to relax in nature!
