Future guests: As of 10/30/2020 our home is unavailble to rent temporarily as we are having repairs done after Hurrican Laura.. Please email to check if work is completed there might be openings in August and September 2021, but we are not sure how long it will take to complete the work.
Disinfectant spray has been supplied at the home, along with soaps, wipes and cleaners. Come to Toledo Bend where you can socially distance yourself on a lake that remains quiet and uncrowded unlike the big city lakes! Please book out one day past where you see a guest has either booked or leaving the same day, this allows enough time for the housekeeper to come in and clean. 24 hour spacing is required between reservations.
Toledo Bend Lake, voted the best bass fishing lake by Bassmaster magazine in 2016! Come on over and enjoy this relaxing waterfront, private home with all the furnishings. A place, to swim, tie up your boat and enjoy excellent bass fishing right off the dock! Free use of kayaks while you stay in our home!
This beautiful lake house sits inside a quaint deep water cove that is situated on the famous “chicken coop” on Toledo Bend Lake. This one story home is located in an upscale neighborhood, and it is tastefully furnished with French country cottage style décor and furniture.
The master bedroom is equipped with its own master bath, queen bed, 42 inch flat screen TV (with satellite) and a sitting area to enjoy a cup coffee in the morning while the sun rises.
The second bedroom, decorated with “Americana” décor, it has two twin beds, and is furnished with an assortment of kid’s toys and games. This room also boasts spectacular lake views.
The third guest bedroom is furnished with a queen bed with soothing earth tones, and a garden view, where you can watch the birds come in to feed each morning at the feeder.
The family room boasts a roomy area for entertaining, with plenty of seating, beautiful views of the lake, a 46 inch TV, (with satellite) and a fireplace for the chilly winter days. It also has a a nice sized desk just in case you have some work to do while you are here. (High speed internet/WIFI included)
The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and equipped with upscale stainless steel appliances, gas stove, and 2 ovens, and of course a pro fish filet knife set.
The outdoor entertaining areas includes a covered porch, with stainless steel gas grill, a fish "fry daddy" and plenty room for outdoor dining and entertaining.
The covered boat house has areas to tie up your boat, a fish cleaning station, and chairs to sit and fish or relax while enjoying the beautiful views of Toledo Bend Lake.
Unlike many homes for rent in East Texas, this home is stocked with plenty of bath and beach towels, paper products and soaps. This not your Dad's fishing cabin! While the fishing is extraordinary here, the whole family will enjoy the beauty, the convenience, and comforts of this well maintained home.

Summary: We absolutely adored this home and view for our family 4th get away! Our children felt right at home with the spacious living area and the accommodations including the Kayaks were loved by us all.. the sunset was gorgeous and the owners were extremely welcoming. We would highly recommend this home rental to a family who wants to feel the comfort of being at your own home. Grandma and Grandpa were also very pleased!! We will be back in the future, thanks!!

Summary: The house is beautiful and very spacious. The yard is very nice and having your own dock to fish off of was really nice too. We caught a few catfish in the afternoon/evening. Kim, the owner was very helpful and was always prompt in replying when I had a question.

Summary: This is the second time we have been fortunate to enjoy this beautiful home!! The furnishings are unbelievable and the property is more than anyone can believe. We caught several fish right off the pier, I am sure fishing is normally better as we had the tropical storm, Cindy coming in so the water was not as calm as usual. The only thing you need to bring here is food as the only grocery store is 30 miles or so away. The yard is fenced in, so if you have small children, you could enjoy them while sitting on the deck without worrying about the water being too close. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Summary: All the comforts of home tucked back in a little cove. Spectacular fun for the husbands and kids and relaxing for the moms. The fishing was outstanding. Fred and Kim are excellent host. We were greeted with a note and goodies for our stay. The home is spacious and decorated to perfection. We will definitely be returning to enjoy another wonderful vacation in this piece of paradise. Summary: Our stay was incredible. The property owners go out of their way to make sure everything is just right for your stay. The home is absolutely gorgeous and the view of the water is breathtaking. We caught plenty of fish right off the pier and even saw some otters swim by. This trip was a family get away and will be a special memory for us all. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an above ordinary get away.
