Summary: My family had a great time. Communication with the owner was good. The place was large enough we did not feel cramped. We all had a great time swimming my daughter wanted to be in every day. Our golden retriever also had a plast trying to fish just of the doc. The only two things keeping me from a five stars overall are the slow internet and not being able to drink the water. Some water was supplied but not enough to get us through a month. A water cooler would be a good thing. And internet maybe consider star link which might be faster and you can only have it on the months you have guests staying. To be clear both of these were laid out ahead of time by the owner so it was not a surprise when we got there and they did not overall bring down our experience. Just two suggestions on what would have made it perfect for us. We are looking to come again next year.

Summary: My family and I stayed here for a few months while we looked for a house to buy as we were new to Michigan. The house is clean, bright, and in a beautiful location. We even had delays on closing on our new house and the owner David was understanding and worked with us so we had a place to stay during the transition and he was quick to respond anytime I messaged him. Plus, the place being pet friendly is a huge bonus as we have 2 dogs that also enjoyed the stay. It's really a lovely lakehouse with great views of the lake out the back window and near the end of a cul-de-sac with no house directly across the street, so a nice bit of privacy and quite. It was neat to be there during the winter and then to see the lake after it thawed. There's also a great view out front kitchen window of robins, rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks everyday. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a lakehouse stay. We really enjoyed our long stay here

Summary: Although it was a hike for me to work from Fair Lake, I was so thankful for the stay. It was great being able to have my animals with me, and the neighbors were so helpful.

Summary: My family and I loved staying at Dave's place. It has a beautiful location on the lake, with plenty to do at the house and in the area. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Communicating with Dave was easy and enjoyable.

Summary: We rented for three months as we were in area for work. David, the host was very accommodating. Home was very clean & spacious & so comfortable - felt like home. The lake view was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend. Wish we were there in summer to enjoy boating, kayaking & fishing.

Summary: This was a cute little house and our stay was okay. But there are some things that I wish we would have been aware of before we booked it, chiefly that the water was undrinkable. Orange, stinky and wreaked of copper. The property owner left us a filter but it was insufficient. I was annoyed that we had to drive to the store to buy drinking water and I was nervous even bathing the kids in it or brushing teeth with it. My husband had the water tested and it came back with moderate levels of lead and arsenic. The second thing that really irked me about this property were the washer and dryer. They were absolutely disgusting and unacceptable especially considering this was a long term rental and there are no laundromats nearby. Due to the water being orange, you can’t really wash your clothes, especially whites without fear of staining them. All of the towels were already stained orange so clearly the owners are aware of this problem. Besides being a hundred years old and gross and dirty, the dryer did not even dry our clothes. They were located in the basement and the basement flooded the first night we were there. I was apprehensive to do anything downstairs after that because I didn’t know if it was sewage seeping in or what. Thirdly, the neighborhood was a little sketchy and the neighbors just let their dogs run wild wherever they want. Every time I got out of my car, there was this black lab waiting for me. Twice it actually jumped IN MY TRUCK!!! Not cool. Other than those things, our stay was fine. Nice view of the lake. The kids had lots of fun on the paddle boat.
