Summary: The property was just as described on the website: the stairs are steep, alright, but that gives it that tiny house vibe.The property was not cleaned to my standards but the owner quickly rectified the problem (apparently had just changed cleaning staff). The location was perfect for vositvisitRiding Mountain and Elkhorn Spa.

Summary: As far as location goes, if you are looking for a nice quiet getaway from all the noise of the city, this is an excellent place to come. The location is about 15 mins from Clear Lake and the Elkhorn spa. Why spend way more to stay onsite when you can have your own private cabin with a hot tub on the front porch? We give location a 5-star rating. As for the cabin it is on the smaller size, small kitchen, living space along with your own personal shower in the living room LOL - to be honest we embraced the fact that we probably would never shower in another living room again, and enjoyed it. The water was hot and the pressure was just fine. The stairs leading up to the loft bedroom aren't described well enough for me. I'm a larger guy, and climbing up what should be described as a spiral ladder, was a challenge. But again we just embraced the uniqueness of the experience.There are only two items I can't embrace. The first is the 100 cleaning fee. We have stayed in a ton of VRBO places across the globe, and this was the first time I felt the cleaning fee was a little gougy (if that's not a word it is now). We did all our dishes, stripped the linen and piled all of the laundry into the laundry basket provided (as instructed), so besides cleaning the shower and "maybe" a quick sweep, there wasn't anything to clean. The only other issue is with the title. The main cabin is lake front, this cabin is not, so it's a little misleading. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves!!

Summary: Location is fabulous, surrounded by trees with privacy. Close to the TransCanada trail and RMNP. The staircase is tight but doable. The sheets and towels need replacing. The information book could contain more info on how the hot tub, and induction plate works. We thought the $100 cleaning fee was high for the size of the cabin. The appliances were in need of a cleaning when we arrived. Overall I would recommend this cabin.

Summary: If this property was accurately described I would give it a 10/10. Unfortunately the description of the property is a bit misleading. The cabin is not lakefront. It is on a property that is lakefront but you can’t see the lake from the cabin location. The owners home is lakefront and you have to walk past their home to access the lake and dock. You also share the dock with the owners which is not described in the listing. We are private people and because of this we never used the dock as it is visible from the owners home. If the property was properly listed we would not have rented it as it is not lakefront. As for the cabin it is very clean and modern. The hosts have provided everything that you would need. One issue that isn’t mentioned in the listing is the access to the loft. It is more like a spiral ladder and I could see a lot of people not comfortable trying to climb up and down it. I believe this should be described in the listing. The shower is in the living area and this could also be awkward for some people. The hosts communicated with us during our stay which we appreciated. As I mentioned I would give this property a 9 or10 out of 10 if it was listed properly. In our case if it had been listed properly we would not have been guests here. If you are looking for a cozy quiet spot to get away this is an ideal location. If you are looking for a cabin on the lake with lake views and direct access then this isn’t the place for you.

Summary: It is a small cabin nestled in the trees - short walk to the small lake - you cannot see the lake from the cabin - Other than that everyhting else was perfect for us and our stay!

Summary: The cabin is equipped with everything you might need for a sweet getaway surrounded by nature. We appreciated the kitchenware and appliances, the big TV and good wifi connection, but mostly the silence and peace at this cozy corner. Beautiful place!

Summary: My husband and I went on a get away for our 10th Anniversary, although we did enjoy our stay, the description was not what was portrayed in the advertisement. They advertise lakefront, and well yes the property is lake front, the owners have a separate house on the lakefront, for us to get to it, we had to walk down the driveway, along the fence beside their property, and down to the water with a shared dock, the outdoor shower was viewable from their deck, and we didn’t feel comfortable being down there knowing they could come at any point, none of this was mentioned in the Ad on VRBo. They also have a large dog that roams free, and while we are dog people and love them, some people might not feel comfortable being barked at as they pass by to get to the dock. The hot tub was nice, the fire pit area was nice although there was a lot of dog poop surrounding it. We envisioned waking up, making coffee and sitting on a private dock in the mornings, but did not get todo that. The spiral staircase is very narrow, we are average built people, but larger people would have a lot of trouble using the stairs..

Summary: Our only regret about booking this property is that we weren’t able to stay longer! The cabin is super cute and very well-appointed. We had everything we needed for the stay. The location is quiet, private, and lovely. We loved the private lake access and took advantage of the kayaks provided. The lake is quiet and the water was warm and enjoyable. While the cabin is nicely secluded it is just a short drive to Clear Lake where there’s lots to do. The hot tub was also great! The driving directions the hosts provided were clear and communication with them was easy. Highly recommended this property!
